Memorial Day Weekend Plans?

In theory we're going to look for gems

In practice we're probably just going to play in the dirt.

 

Well I hope the theory pans out and if not practice makes perfect!!
Someday I want to go to Hiddenite and look for the little green gems I love so much.

 

Nevermind - my plans have changed.

DAMN!

 

DH and I will be celebrating our 5 yr anniv. in San Pedro, Belize:lol: Swimming with dolphins, rainforest zip-lining, cave tubing, scuba diving and free flowing drinks on white sands:cheers: We have planned this trip for 15 months and I CAN NOT WAIT!

My Granny turns 102.....and she is still lucid....love to hear her tell the family stories....

Working! :x Man I have got to find a different job!

 

I am going to South Dakota to visit my grandma. All by myself, no kids. But, it's not just a fun trip. She's starting to fail, so I have to go see her soon.

I did want to mention something about the memberships. If you buy the zoo membership, you can go to any museums or aquariums more than 90 miles away. But, if you buy one from www.wildwnc.org, you can go to the zoo for free, Durham Life and Science for free, and lots of other places that cost money. I paid $60 for a family of 5 for a whole year. We go to Durham like 3 times a year to see the museum, and it's $30 each time just for 3 people. Just thought I would throw that out for you guys. The kids are so excited because when we go to Carolina Beach for a week, we get to go to the aquarium for free.

Going to the Coca Cola 600!

We are going camping at the beach (Emerald Isle area) with some friends. Can't wait-hope to do a lot of nothing but relaxing!

 

off work for 10 days! YIPPIE!

Leaving work at 3:00 on Friday
Home by 3:19
Packed by 3:22 (im a guy, i can do that)
On the road at 3:45 (pottie time before the road...im a guy...remember?)
At North Topsail by 6:00
Sitting on my deck while the GF unloads the car (cause im the boss!) and sipping a margarita by 6:10 and watching the waves crash.
Unloading the rest of the car by 6:12 (because the GF gets all uppity)
Back on the deck at 8:00 (cause i had to walk on the beach for 90 minutes because i had the nerve to leave the car for the GF to unload)
Having to go out to get dinner and bring it back at 8:30 (GF still uppity)
Washing dishes at 9:00 (grumble)
Back to the Quervo at 9:05
On the Quervo till 10:30
Get poured into bed at 10:45
Try to convince the GF that its Monkey Time till about 10:50
Wake up Saturday around 11:30 swearing something about Quervo
More walking on the beach
yada yada yada

Come home Monday.

We will be staying home. Going to have a small cook out and hopefully it will be warm enough for the pool. We had talked about doing something a bigger cook out, but decided to wait for now. Trying to see if we can get enough stuff together to participate in our community yard sale this saturday, so not enough time to plan a whole bunch of stuff

 

Where is that and how much is it
