I am looking for some furnishings for my log cabin. I really need some wall hangings, ie pictures, quilts, blankets, shelves, etc. My theme is bear, but anything rustic is good. Does anyone know where I can go find this type of stuff, either in Smithfield, Clayton, Garner area? I also need stuff for a rec room, was thinking of John Deere decor, is there a good place to find this stuff? I know I could try the flea market, but with soccer tournament this weekend that is out, I need it by next Wednesday. If anyone knows of a good, cheap place to go, let me know please! It doesn't have to be new, it can be used, and don't want anything cutsie or modern, I like the older rustic look. Thanks!

OH MAN!! We actually just built it last year, and we furnished it with everything necessary to rent it out, and now that we're into it a little more we wanted to get some more decor up...

BTW, I also need a small desk/chair and book case. Nothing fancy, just simple old stuff. Something you could put a laptop on and hold some books...I'm hoping to go shopping Friday, are there any good stores in Smithfield at the outlets? Haven't been there in a year or so...

I was in Carolina Pottery a couple of weeks ago and saw a few things. They had some lamps and decorations. My family and I thought it would be neat if we had a cabin in the mountains-sounds like it would be perfect for you.... :)

Thanks everyone! I already bought quite a bit from Collections Etc. The last time I went to JR's I got lost...I don't know Smithfield that well! :? But I think I will try Carolina Pottery, and there's another shop there, we bought a large picture there last year for a really great price!

I think i know the store you are talking about. It's over near Yankee Candle? The Home Store or something like that.

yeah. i thought it was country home, or something home...anyway, is that still there? haven't been in so long...

I'm also looking for a game table, like air hockey and pool in one...some places call them pockey tables, or combination game tables. I've searched ebay and craigslist and 4042.com.

I did abc distributing once and would never do it again. Their prices are out of this world cheap, but they won't tell you how much shipping is until they ship it, and then you find out it's more than the item itself. Seems awfully shady to me...

There is a really cute shop in Fuquay across the railroad tracks (can't remember the name) that has alot of country things, can't remember the name. And there are several shops on the main street (Salem?) in Apex. I know Plow and Hearth at North Hills has several "bear" things and lots of rustic furniture, etc.
How about Market Imports at the Farmer's Market? We have found some great stuff there. Sorry they aren't in your target area. But they are all definitely worth a look.

John Deere stuff can be found at Cracker Barrell...or at least at the one on Airport Blvd. They have a whole section of stuff for that.

I'm not sure if it will have exactly what you're looking for, but Kirkland's has cool home furnishings. They have a little bit of everything. The one on Glenwood past Crabtree Mall in the shopping plaza at the top of the hill is the nicest in the area. I can't remember the name of it.

    DMJ,
I will go with you to Carolina Pottery for sure! I have not been there in so long and would love to go back.

I've tried Kirkland's, they didn't really have what I was looking for.

AW - I'll probably be going on Friday, will drop little one at sitters and go. If you're free you're welcome to come...I need it all by Wed, and tournament is this weekend so no time on the weekend.

You could try Agri Supply in Garner or the Tractor supply store by the Big Lots in Smithfield for the John Deere stuff. Craigslist had some rustic looking things in their furniture section recently.

Anyone know what time JR's in Smithfields closes on Friday? Are they open 24 hours?
