    Kent,
thanks for the link. And, I echo your sentiment that the men and women with whom I served are the finest people I'll ever be privileged to know. I honr the service of all who gave some, and those some that gave all.

Memorial Day has always been special in my family. My dad came home from Korea (the 3 tours he did) each time with an injury but alive. Some weren't as fortunate. I thank God for all of the men and women who have fought for our country.

    Just a few meanderings:

I still get goose bumps whenever the National Anthem is played at any event.

I still remember vividly how everyone on base used to come to attention & salute and stop their vehicles and get out when we heard morning reveille and evening taps.

A military funeral is one of the most touching events I've ever seen.

It should be required for everyone to visit Arlington National Cemetery and watch the changing of the Guard.

I still have my dog tags on my key chain.

Huh, DH's dog tags are on my key chain as well.

I was listening to the radio today on the way to 4042 and "I'm proud to be and AMERICAN" came on - screamed it singing it and didn't even care!

A HUGE Thank You to the men and women who have served our country!
