Hi, We just moved here a week ago. Yesterday I took my daughters 10 and 6 out for a walk in our subdivision and we discovered 3 kittens alone in the drainpipe. After much coaxing we were able to catch them and bring them home. They are a little thin but otherwise appear healthy and very playful. We cannot keep them and would like to find homes for them. My husband says they must go! If anyone would like to give them a good home please let me know.

We are from the New Hartford/Utica area. Small town New Yorkers, farm country and such.

Hey Cathy, are you the one who rescued kitties from one of the Flowers Plantation's drain pipe? If you are, I'm glad to hear that they're safe. We've been getting some feral cats in the woods not too far from our backyard.

The Kittens we rescued were from Knolls at the Neuse, they are pretty friendly. Not sure if they were dropped off or wild.

Yes, NY is ALOT of farm country that not a lot of folks realize. I grew up on a dairy farm actually just outside of Binghamton.

So how big are these kitties, what do they look like? Hubby says I can't get a dog but is up for a little kitten....

Hey, fellow dairy farm girl! I grew up on a dairy farm outside of Utica.
2 of the kittens are grey, medium hair and 1 is a tiger stripped. The tiger stripped and 1 grey are female and one grey is male. I think they are about 2-3 months old, they are drinking water and eating kitten chow with no problem. They are very good with the litter box, no accidents! I would love to find them good homes. I have contacted a rescue organization and am waiting for them to find a foster home.

Kittens who haven't been tamed are just plain scary! If they are letting you near them they were probably dropped off. Sad. My blind boy was tiny, no more than 6 weeks, and purring like a train when DH found him on our back porch. No way he was feral. Just too much trouble. Their loss.

The 3 little kittens are going to Marley's Cat Tales today. They are going to foster them and find them new homes. If anyone is interested in adopting they are at Pets supermarket in Cary every Sunday from 2-4pm. My husband told me from now on I should take my walks with my eyes shut!! I have always been a stray magnet and will continue to be, he should have realized that before he married me!
