How low can you get?! Man Steals Air Conditioner From 80 Year-Old Grandmother During 96 Degree Heat Thursday afternoon’s temperature reached 96 degrees in Johnston County, making it very difficult on the elderly. However, one Johnston County teen reportedly wasn’t concerned about his grandmother’s well-being. Nineteen year-old Michael Blizzard of Clayton is accused of stealing an air conditioner from his 80 year-old grandmother’s home, returning to his residence, then installing the AC unit so he and his mother could stay cool. Blizzard was reportedly cut while stealing the air conditioner from his grandmother’s home and after arriving at the hospital, reportedly told deputies his injuries were the result of an assault by an unknown assailant. Johnston County deputies charged the unemployed 19 year-old with felonious breaking and entering, larceny, and filing a false police report. Blizzard was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $37,000 bond.
I cut the lawn at 11am today, what a mistake that was. :ack: What setting do you all keep the A/C set to? 72 here. I am sure my bill going to be high, but it nice to be cool
I just went out at 7:30 or so, to see if I could cut the grass. No WAY! OMG, it's hot out there. Stay inside people!
Sheeeutte, I work in Durham, In a warehouse and the owner is tooooo Cheep to turn the air on. He said that it cost him $6000.00 a couple of years ago, so he will not turn it on. and the temp was 119 degrees in the place. He said that if you don't like it move on, Now this comming from a guy who was also quoted as saying ," He dont give raises, It's not his fault that people live so far from work. " I have spoken to people that have worked there for over 5 years and they still hav'nt recieved a raise. YES I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER EMPLOYMENT. Thank you. P.S. I am from Florida and it don't have this kind of heat there. This shtuff just makes even the toilet look refreshing.LOL
We usually keep the A/C set to 78 here with ceiling fans running in all rooms except the kitchen (no fan there). At night some times I will turn it down to 76 because I can sleep better when it's a little cooler.
Yes it sure does. I always laugh at my family on this. Ours is different from yours but when I tell someone to turn the air down because I am hot they don't understand, same thing with the heat...turn it up if you are cold. Duh...how long until they understand? Sixteen years with one and she still doesn't get this. You know it's hot when my kid is inside!!!!!!!!! Even though she has a car now, she's afraid of running out of gas because she doesn't have a full time job and only has one tank of gas from dear old mom. She had to go pick items up from her locker at the pool today and she did pick a friend up to ride with her but she was back in a jiffy. Best thing I could have done...was to make a deal for one tank of gas...get a job! Sherry
