    Too funny!!!

I've done quite a bit of flying in my life time. I do agree that no matter what, crime will find a way. However, if this machine will help, then I'll suck it up and do it. Plus, they've been giving people w/ prosthetics a hard time for years. My son gets tested for gunpowder every time. He has a prosthetic leg. Yeh, my 6 yo is packing a wmd. Ridiculous. But, we do it every time. Go through the protocol b/c when you get to your destination, you totally forget all the security checks along the way. It's just part of the process to get from point a to point b. Think of the women w/ missing limbs. They have been wanting them to take off their pants. What?! It's nuts. Luckily, they are becoming aware of certain things and trying to train folks to be a little more descreet. Who knows. I hate the thought of going through a see through machine but if I want to get to my job, somewhere special or whatever, then I would definitely take the few seconds to walk through. If we can survive some of the embarrassing doc visits, we sure can go through an x-ray machine. Good luck future travellers.

I agree...who cares. Its much more humiliating to hear "scoot your hiney down and put your feet in the stir-ups" gimme a break....if the make shift security guard wants to take a gander in 30 seconds as you walk through, go for it I say....don't forget....with all the beautiful people they get to look at, there sure are alot of UGLY folks they get to see-thru too....it ain't all glamorous!!

Exactly what I was saying earlier. Geez, if you've ever had a baby, you feel like you need to sell tickets to everyone who has to see your lady parts.

As a side note: My sister call's going to the OBGYN, the "Come-a-little-Closer" doctor. Cracks me up!!

I'll be the one to make a big deal

Are they kidding!!!????!!!???!!! Why don't we all just walk around naked! Geez! I would NOT get into one of these machines and I would NOT put my children into them either. I think it is going WAY too far. There. My rant is over.

Do you ever laugh? Do you ever just look at something and laugh like you were sixteen? In looking at this, it is so funny that it could actually be made into a sitcom.

From one attention whore to another...thanks. Laughing, laughing, laughing.

P.S. Never grow up and you can't make me.

What does the ACLU have to do with a choice? How are their Civil Liberties being Violated? They chose to buy the tickets, they chose to go to the damn airport, they chose to check their luggage, they are choosing to go through the scanners.

Well was there a gush of air? Because they also use sniffer booths that I have been subjected to at a number of TSA stations over the last 4 or 5 years. Basically that puff of air is than analyzed for explosives and other contraband substances.

I think the whole security thing is a waste of time, there is a reason why TSA is also known as Taxes Standing Around! I know of and accidentally got things through which shouldn't have gotten through, but had some of the stupidest things questioned and confiscated.

IMO you go back to pre 911 airport security but with hardened Cockpit doors. The risk is so minimal and all we really need to do is keep the plane from becoming a guided missile. We take that away from them and what good is trying to take out an airplane, at best you could take out a couple hundred folks like me. Yest that sounds bad, but that isn't going to give the terrorist the coverage they want, so I don't see them pursuing it. Of course we can continue to spend many billions of dollars for no benefit whatsoever.

As Ken pointed out there are many ways to get on an airplane that us law abiding citizens would not pursue.

Ask yourself if they are putting that cargo (money maker for an airline) through a scanner?

Is that a Sears Poncho? Or is it a real Poncho?

I agree with you that where there is a will, there is a way for the criminals. Doesn't change my opinion that that particular "security" screening is just not a big deal. I already said I didn't know if it would accomplish anything. I just have bigger things to worry about than whether someone is looking at the size of my hiney.

That wasn't the original issue in this thread, now was it??

Actually, there is a whole lot of waste in all aspects of our gov't, why should this be any exception?

I have no idea what the answer to this issue is, but again, I don't find this any more of an invasion of my privacy than their other measures.
