Me too!! Apparently this woman doesn't have kids and doesn't care. Could you imagine explaining this to your 3 year old?
Yes. Apparently she is just thinking of herself and the men she wants to impress in her rollerblades. It's actually kind of sad. Now my 13 YO would get up extra early for THAT parade.
If this woman wants to be in the parade, what is the problem? :chillpill: We are talking about breasts, for goodness sake. Not like she is in a porn movie. If people are so prudish that they worry about their children seeing breasts, then perhaps parents should be educating children in a healthy way, not to view such things as something of which to be to be ashamed. This could certainly be an effective fund raiser, if you think about it. Think of all the men who might actually go to see a parade instead of vegging out in front of some sports game on tv! And yes, I am a parent, in case you are wondering...
My sister lives in Seattle and they have some parade where EVERYONE rides naked, but with super fancy body art. Something like this?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solstice_Cyclists
Then I hope my kids don't ever hook with yours, and they certainly would not be allowed to play at your home. My children saw breasts also, I breastfed them. That's what they're for. This woman is an attention whore, plain and simple. That's not the type of parade I want to bring my preschool aged children to, and that is not prudish. It is keeping preschool aged children in a preschool aged environment, not desinsitizing them so that other people can do whatever the hell they want and force my kids to make them feel good about it. This woman has no respect for others and is intent on cramming her lifestyle down others' throats. I take issue with that, esp when it comes to my children.
I knew what you meant, I was being a snart alec(go figure) regarding which was a nut, the one in the story or the one that posted saying it was ok for the nut to be in the parade....
First if this is the only reason a man is going to a parade he isn't worth my time. Second I have taught both of my teenage boys that breasts aren't something to be ashamed of, I have taught them to respect women and not treat them as objects. Obviously this woman wants to be and that is her right, but it isn't her right to push her views on others and maybe she needs to learn a little respect as well.
