if you'll click the 'search' button at the top of this page on the gray bar, and type in 'church' (or anything you may want to 'know about') you'll get lots and lots of threads about churches. :mrgreen: Good Luck in your search!!
No one was trying to chase you off, this topic, along with most of this type have been addressed many times. Some of us have been on this board or its predecessor for 6 or more years and as you will soon see, we like to beat things to death. Because of this most do not wish to go through it again. May be we can get the Web Master to make the "Search" function stand out a little bit better and you will get all of our wisdom and then you can come to an intelligent decision on your own. Topics that have been beat to death or inflames passions so high include but are not limited to: Religion in general C3 the Church Most Italian Restaurants Politics Jokes (that is unless you specifically thought them up yourself, then please share) Abortion Child Molesters living amongst us Whores, prostitution or anything involving multiple penatrations Gassing unwanted animals Anything your friend thought was important/very important/critical that you pass on to everyone you know, and last but not least Picking on a long time member (specifically me :mrgreen. That does not mean that we do not welcome your input on any of these things, but try to use a thrad that already exists (for instance on your issue you might want to use the "Upper Room - All Things Christian" thread that resides in this "Discussion Group" Forum. For Politics and multiple penatration (sometimes a shared topic) go to the "Neighborhood" side. I find this group to be wonderful vibrant community that looks out for each other. If you are a little gun shy than just lurk for a while, but just a little while, we want you to join in on the fun. Hught
I guess I was expecting people to be more willing to give recommendations. I was not expecting "OMG not this again" and I had no idea about the "search feature". And a few emails that were not so nice. Although I did get a few nice messages and recommendations and look forward to visiting.....Thanks for the recommendations!!! I do apprecaite it.
excuse me, no one was being mean....I was telling you about the search feature to HELP you...by using it, you get all the topics regarding churches (and there are a gazillion) that we have talked about endlessly. I was trying to save you some time and helping you out as a new poster. You'll want to leave your tender feelings at the door here, if you want to stick around. 99% of us are nice....and helpful....but we also tell it like it is. IF you do the search you'll see how beat the 'religion' horse is on here, hence robbie's response ....it just get's super old and its very controversial and usually causes quite the mess......just check out the 'search' like I suggested, and you'll see exactly what I mean.....

Good for you for remaining polite. It shows a lot of character on your part. I can not help you with the church question but, you certainly did ask in the right place. This site is actually quite helpful if you are looking for information. Try not to be discouraged.
Churches that have summer day camp I am looking for something for my 3 1/2 year old to do. Once or twice a week would be nice. Anyone know of any...PLEASE
