FRIDAY AT THE PARK OK, so Veggie Tales was a bomb apparently? I thought all of you with the little ones would have gone, but boy was I wrong!! :lol::lol: So who's going to the park on Friday? I am, I am! Lake Benson, 9:30. Cathy, does that come up on your GPS, or do you need someone to meet you somewhere? I'm not sure of the address, but if you can find Aversboro Rd in Garner on your GPS, there's a sign that shows you where to turn from there. PM me if you need help (if you're planning on going) - if your daughters like to run and play and like playgrounds, they'll like it. They also have some picnic shelters, walking trails, that sort of thing, and my son can't wait to bring his net and probably a cup to catch fish in the lake - cleo will your "thing one" (your name, not mine!) be doing the same thing?!
Sorry guys, I won't be at the park Friday...:cry: Hubby's office manager quit this morning, and I'm going to be filling in full time until he finds someone. So anything coming up the next couple weeks, I won't be there more than likely. I am bummed out too, I was sooo looking forward to meeting everyone!! I can't remember what was on for next week, I'd have to look back and see...Hopefully he'll find someone soon, but it's not looking too promising. I'll keep you all updated. Oh, I think Monday at 11 is Chick-fil-a, I might make that one, because my son has a 2:20 appt, so not sure if I'll just take the day off, or if I'll still work and just take off enough time to take him to that. I don't know, this really is messing up all my plans!
Hubby needs the gps on friday so I may have to find it the good old fashioned way! Can anyone give me directions from Walgreens on 70?
Cathy - easiest (not fastest, but easiest) way would be: Take 70 west, turn left onto Timber Drive (big inersection where Target and Kroger is). You'll go probably 4 or 5 miles, (?) you'll come to Aversboro Rd intersection, there will be a sign for Lake Benson Park, you'll turn right there. The park is on that road, down about a mile on the left. If I was going I'd meet you someplace, but I'm not, sorry! Maybe someone else is coming from your direction and you could follow them...
Well, pooh. Looks like I won't be at the park tomorrow after all. I had something come up that I can't avoid. :-( I hope to see you all and meet more of you next time.

Cleo - don't let thing one catch all those fish! And I think we've decided to let my oldest get a guinea pig this weekend, that sounds like the safest pet for him for the moment...
We have a guinea pig and love him! If you haven't already found one, check out craigslist. I saw several for free there.
I was there with my two little ones. I met Cleo and another lady with two precious children. (I can't for the life of me remember her name.) I know my little ones had a blast. We came home, they ate lunch, and BOTH of them took a nap.:hurray: I mentioned to Cleo I read on the library's calendar that there will be a helicopter at the Town Square in Clayton for the kids to see. I was told they can see it take off and land. It is supposed to be there at 10am. They have some pretty neat things going on this summer.
