    I am looking into buying a foreclosure home. I have searched online for houses in this area. But every site wants you to pay money for houses that are public access. My question is: Does anyone know of a place you can view photos of houses in this area online?

    Thanks:allears::allears:

    Thank you for suggesting this site. It has some really interesting houses that I may have to drive by. I only wish that there were more pictures of the houses. :?

    Anytime.... One thing to keep in mind... A lot of these may be damaged, so be very careful.

    On the websites that were posted, check the information provided, sometimes there is a link that says Property Report. The property report usually has more pictures of the house. It is also a home inspection that is done for appraisal purposes when the house is foreclosed on. You would still need to get a home inspection done to purchase the house, because there might be something that was missed. Also, the houses are usually closed up and all services (water, electric, sewer, etc.) are stopped and problems can occur with that as well. The report also lists problems like holes in the wall, damaged carpet or carpet was removed.

    My DH and I purchased a foreclosed home almost 6 years ago. If you have any questions about the process or about the homes pm me.

    Does anyone know how long the process takes? There's a really nice house in our neighborhood. The family came across tough times from my understanding and they deserted the home sometime during the middle of the night. Their fence was repo'd, and all that remains is the fence posts (looks tacky).

    Anyway, there have been no for sale signs up, no papers on the door, nada. Its been almost a year now.

    Just curious. Its a really nice home, it would be nice to see someone occupy it and remove the freakin' fence posts, lol.

  9. I am a real estate broker and a large portion of my business is listing foreclosures and working with investors on purchasing them. The HUD site that you guys are referring to www.hmbireo.com, is only HUD foreclosures. This is a small portion of the overall foreclosures available. There really isn't a very good site for searching just foreclosures without paying a fee. I will be glad to answer any questions or help anyone I can.

    About 6 months maybe longer if there was damage to the interior.
