UPDATED SCHEDULE OK everyone, for the last time, here's an updated schedule. I'd really like to try to fit one more date in at someone's house, but no one else has offered up their house, so guess that may not happen. What's the matter, did we scare you off?? :mrgreen: 7/15 - Pullen Park 9:00 7/22 - Chick-fil-a Kid's night, kids meals are 99 cents each 7/23 - Playdate at my house 9:30 (this is the new date, I'll PM address) 7/31 - Garner Library - Preschool storytime 11:00 8/5 - Marbles Museum 9:00 8/8 - Lake Benson ? 8/13 - Garner Towne Square - Evan Almighty 9:30 (movie at 10:00) Questions: I've never been to Marbles museum, some of you have, can you post a little about it please? www.marbleskidsmuseum.org. If we get a group of 10 or more, it's $1 off per kid, do we want to try to carpool? I probably can't go that day, unless I can switch days at work. I hear it's a lot of fun for the kids though! Also, If Lake Benson isn't hot that day, do we want to try to do it a little later, get a big group together and have an early picnic lunch there with the kids? Just a thought...Of course, we wouldnt know if the pavillions were taken until we got there. If it's a HOT day we could just do it at 9:30 like last time. Any other questions/comments?
Marbles is great.... but it is not something where a large group of moms will be able to stay together. Kids disperse every which way (large open rooms) which is wonderful, but dont plan on going and sitting down and chatting!!:lol: I dont mind carpooling, the only complication I see is if one child burns out a lot faster than the rest in the group, but we can work it out!! They get to play in the water, they can play in the sand and paint and glue etc, so dont get dressed up! I love it because they have little art projects set up everywhere. I just saw they are opening a little fake ice rink in honor of the Hurricanes, so that should be fun. We have a family membership, so we wont count towards the group discount. Sorry.
We can't do the 15th or 22nd, but we plan to come to the 23rd at your house and the Garner library on the 31st.
Maybe it was addressed already and I missed it, but did you guys have any plans of getting together on weekends or evenings so that those of us that work and have little ones can play too? 8)
Back on Page 6 it was mentioned. Doesn't look like any weekend events scheduled. I have two little boys, 3 & 2 so if you would like to get together with a fellow 4042 mommy sometime during the weekend let me know, maybe we can set up a playdate. I know there were a couple other posts from other moms too about weekends.
Maybe we can have a playdate on Saturday at my house? We have an aboveground pool, so maybe a sunny day in the water?
That sounds like fun!! I'de be in as this is pretty much the only day I can do anything. (My hubby is also knee deep in building our deck on our house so to have the boys out of the way and gone for a few hours is also a plus)
Well let me check my calendar and see what Saturday would work. We're pretty tied up this weekend and next, but maybe in the weeks after that?
That sounds awesome to me!! (My boys are 2 & 3 and I know two other moms on here who can only do things on weekends and their girls are 4 and 3..just fyi)
I had the opportunity to visit The Little Gym in Clayton and observe the staff at work. The owner and the staff are great.
UPDATE - CANCELLATION I hope everyone reads this! Sorry, I've gotta cancel this Wednesday. We're going out of town unexpectedly Thursday, so I've gotta work M/T/W this week. I'm going to just do a last minute playgroup at my house, since the "planning" one doesn't seem to be working! We just hired a new girl, so when she starts my days might change as well, so I'll let you all know when I can do it. Sorry for the confusion!

I'm planning on taking my daughter to Benson Park Monday morning if anyone wants to meet me there. I'm going around 9:00 before it gets too hot. Monday looks like the coolest day next week without rain.
Shoot I came on here to say we would meet you, but my two have swim lessons from 10-11 all week. That sort of messes things up! Anyone want to plan on Marbels for NEXT week? (closed on Mondays)
