How do I get crickets out of my house?

I need some help, what is the best way to get crickets out of my house (other than using my sneakers to kill them!!) . Every night I see one or two in the house and it's driving me crazy. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I've heard that too.

 

I thought it was only for crickets living on the hearth.

 

Not sure if North Carolina has any, but in the midwest we always cut up a Hedge apple and put it around. Got rid of the crickets real quick.

 

Is that anything like a road apple?

 

LOLOL no but another name for a hedge apple is a horse apple.

Yeah I've heard that too but I killed them all last summer and have been killing them for a month now. I'm not one to believe in old wives tales much anyway!! I'll take my chances rather than live with them in the house!!
