Whew! Glad you're still with us! But you came as close to an accurate portrayal of what was going on as anybody possibly could have. I don't think you flamed anybody, and I don't remember you using any bad language.
no, i know, i was kinda kidding. thanks for noticing..... there's alot to take into consideration if you're going to blast someone. like you have to be factually accurate, you have to be able to do it without cussing and namecalling, you have to make sure that what you're saying isn't going to get flung back in your face or totally picked apart or taken out of context or used to divert the topic, etc. i usually stay out of big arguments and all, but if i'm going to post a pwning like i did in the ticket thread, i'm going to make sure i'm covered.... on the other hand, i would wager that nevilock would say that his "go off" post was worth a temp ban. sometimes, you're willing to risk it just to get it off your chest. he did the crime, now he's doing the time, he'll come back and he won't whine about it.
none of my posts were deleted that i know of unless i posted in ken's physics thread, which i only did a couple of times and usually just to be a smart ***. the arguments i had with ken, and more to the point, clif, were well within guidelines.
OK, I saw your post in the ticket thread. You don't usually do anything bannable, so I was wondering.
i'm actually pretty proud of that post :mrgreen: i figured it would stay unless all reference to clif was removed edit: i don't usually do anything bannable here. at some of the boards i frequent, you couldn't get banned unless you literally post someone's personal info. almost anything else is fair game. on one of my favorite boards, a pearl jam poster collector's board, almost every post would be a bannable offense here
dangit well, now i'm losing posts as threads get removed. the ticket thread is gone. i haven't looked for it, but i bet ken's physics thread is gone. oh, well, at least i know it was more for overall tone than my posts in particular

Hi. I have been off for several days. I have read the posts about the shutdown and some posters being banned. However there are many that are not mentioned that do not seem to be posting as they were in the past. Is there a boycott going on against this discussion board. And if there is a boycott what will it take to get those that are boycotting back. Hard to believe they are not having withdrawal pains. What are they doing with their downtime?
