http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/07/31/moos.montauk.monster.cnn WHat does it look like to you??
eww.... I don't know! I want to say a giant sea turtle without its shell.. but I've never seen one without the shell, its just thats what the head looks like.
I was thinking turtle too, but then I recall hearing that the shells is actually part of the turtle's skeletal system. It's not like the Bug Bunny cartoons, where the turtle takes it off and runs around naked. The top part is kind of like your fingernail, and then the inner layer contains it's backbone and ribs and is joined to the lower portion with bone. It certainly LOOKS like a turtle head, though. Weird!
In the video clip, they showed where the body had decomposed and held up the skull, wouldn't it just be a matter of having an expert identify the skeletal remains... if there is enough interest I guess. I'm interested, I can't stop looking at it!
EWW! I have to agree that it does look like a turtle with out its shell, though I know it is not possible.
THAT is the strangest thing I've ever seen! What in the world?!?!? I'm with you Cleo - I can't stop looking.
They say this is the same thing, just a different angle. It appears to have been moved, if it's the same thing. In this shot, I think it looks kind of like a pig, with it's snout gone. But the hair gets me - what in the world is that?!? And the really pointy teeth on the bottom? Maybe a wild boar or something?
I'm kind of leaning towards the theory of it being something that washed up from the nearby Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Even though the clip says that the director denies it, I have to wonder. Especially with the arm band that was found on it. Animal experimentation maybe?
omg, they found my ex mother in law. I laughed so hard at the comment someone put, "clifs personality" now that was funny, I dont care who you are... rofl
Does Mrs. Hugh laugh with and at your jokes as much as we do or is she immune now? You are one funny guy and quick to think. Sherry
