I'm still planning on Benson Park in the morning around 9:00. If anyone wants to join me and my three year old, come on by! :)

Did anybody show up? I had errands to run, and one more I forgot about. <grr> I wanted to swim this afternoon, not drive around in the heat!

No one from here showed up. One of my neighbors met me there with her son though, so we had a good time. It was pretty empty there this morning. It didn't get too hot until close to lunch time, especially with all the shade there, so it was a good time!

Another idea (since we dont have large turn outs) is I am allowed to bring a few guests to my pool. (it cost $5 a piece) but if anyone wanted to play at the pool let me know. I am limited to how many visitors I can bring, but if anyone is interested, I will see what I can work out.

I cut someone's hair the other night that said the Triangle Town mall has a good kiddy area.
Anyone have any input? Is it worth a 30 minute drive?

yes, they do have a great indoor play area for kids! A great idea for these hot days...someone (Cleo?) had mentioned a few pages before I think that she sometimes takes hers there, lets them play and then takes them for 99 cent ice cream at McD's in the mall afterwards...a cheap playdate for the kids. I might be imagining it, but seems like that's where I heard that...

Anyway, how's the move going, have you registered for school yet? Are you cutting hair where you said you were going to (don't want to post it here for all to see)...I need to bring my boys in soon, maybe Friday if I can. Also, how did the insurance thing work out for you the other day, I never heard if my agency was able to help you out?

Yep, this is true. The play area at Southpoint in Durham is AWESOME, but a further drive. Crabtree is small and junky.

I don't know where you would be coming from, but if you head up Hwy 50 going towards Garner, you would turn left on Buffaloe Rd. (it is the first left after you pass by Rand Rd.). Go all the way down Buffaloe till it dead ends at the stop sign. Turn left and the park entrance is a short ways down on your left. Follow the dirt road all the way to the back and it ends at a parking area in front of a picnic shelter and playground. It's really nice out there with lots of trees for shade. There is a huge field, walking trails and a lake there too, but I usually stay in the playground area.

Hello all. I am pretty much new here. I joined awhile back but never really posted. I am a SAHM with a 2 1/2 year old boy. He needs playmates. I am in the Cleveland area. I am an original North Carolinian. We do not do movies yet. He would never sit still for that. He loves the park and most anything when other children are involved. I belonged to a mother's group when he was first born but it just wasn't for me. If anyone is interested in meeting up for a playdate, let me know.

I have no ideas. I am useless. lol. We go to the McDonalds on 70w in Garner for indoor play. I haven't read this entire thread. Does anyone recommend Up and Away for playdates? I know they have drop in play for $5 but I haven't been there.
