    Cheap o air for your plain tickets or anything for that matter ! I had to purchase some tickets to fly to california because my father in law just passed away and i used this company called cheap o air , well just found out they drained my bank account and wont issues tickets or give me my money back .I have field a report with the BBB and my bank but it will take 45 days to get my money back .. I am so outraged and cant believe a company can do this to anyone . We are going to miss my father in laws funeral . Please don't use this scam company , I googled it afterwards and found several complaints but didn't think to check them out at the time . I am so upset with myself for not looking into this company . There was lots more that happen but im trying to make a long storie short ..I have other things to worry about but wanted to let you all know ...Be careful !

    How awful! You have my sympathies for your loss and your situation........:cry:
    Have you tried contacting your bank or the credit card co?

    Most airlines offer bereavement rates.

    Thank you all very much , He's not doing to good , He was very close to his father and didn't get to say goodbye to him or tell him he loves him before he passed , And right before he passed he tried to call my hubby but we didn't get the message until the next day from moving and he slowly passed away in my mother in laws arms , So my husband is not doing well . I have contacted the the bank and credit card companies and they are investigating all of this but it will be at the earliest 45 days to get my money back . I'm outraged and very disgusted & upset with the air company and also my credit card company for taking 45 days to give me back my money . This is the worst thing that could happen and at the worst time as well . I have called as many airlines as i can for a bereavement fair but the cheapest is 545.00 plus tax , not that that is to much , just i don't have it now and it will take me a few days to get it . I will figure something out believe you me

    I would certainly click on the link below and raise a fuss about this. They are working on a lot of these type of scams. Sorry about all of this.

    Make sure all banks that you do business with know about this, credit card companies, credit reporting companies, etc. They will put an alert on your items as well.

    When I did a quick search online I found many complaints and then responses from that company. That may be another way to get it settled quicker but you still need to notify everyone else on your list.

    Oh gosh yeah , there are at the least 3 full pages of complains about cheap o air ..I wish i wasn't so stupid as to not look before i bought the tickets ...or i should say tried to buy them ...I just had so much on my mind and my children crying my hubby upset oh god it was a bad day ..I didn't think and now I've got to live with it

    Call 5 on Your Side or someone like that - I had a friend who's tickets got canceled because the airlines went out of business and the credit card co told her the same thing - 45 days - but she couldn't wait that long either because the trip was coming up soon and she didn't want all her money tied up - she talked so someone and they got her money refunded right away!
    I'm sure you explained all this to the credit card co....and they wouldn't do anything to help - I'd sure be taking my business elsewhere - and be sure to tell them that!! :evil:

    Oh yeah i did but 5 on your side wont do anything im sure , this company is overseas , I later found out ! That's why it will take so long i believe . I will call 5 on your side and at least see but i doubt it .

    My thoughts and prayers are with you, your husband and your family.
    In 1968 we we were transferred from NC to Florida. Our phone was supposed to be installed the day of our move in. Telephone company screwed up and it was not installed for 3 days. In 1968 I did not have a cell phone. My dad tried to call me during this time. The next morning when I arrived at the office my mother called me to advise that he had a stroke and died at home in Clayton. Although we said our goodbyes only a few days prior to the actual move I have always regretted not being able to receive his telephone call. One of these days I look forward to seeing him in heaven.
    Assure your husband that the sadness in his heart will heal as time moves forward. God bless.
    And a message to all other 4042 Forum posters. If your parents are still living be sure to talk with them frequently even if they are living a long distance away. One of these days these conversations will be treasured memories.

    Very well said i agree ! I will tell him that , its been such a devastating time for all of us but so much more for him ...Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers , It really does mean a lot ! I hope that here soon we will be there to say goodbye and pay my respects to such a wonderful man . Friday is the funeral and i know , I myself can hardly hold this family together its been so hard, but I'm mommy & wife and i will do everything i can to keep my family together . It is so hard to lose anyone but especially a family member . Thanks again

    My father just passed away and my family found out that most airlines aren't offering bereavement rates anymore. My brother finally found one that did, but was able to find a cheaper flight on another airline without the bearement rates. The "cheaper" rate was still no bargain-it was a lot of money.
    To my 4 kiddies, sorry for your loss. Having lost 2 family members within 2 days of each other this summer, I can really feel for you. I'm even sorrier that, while you're going through all the things you need to to to deal with the loss and travel, that an unethical company took advantage of you. That was the last thing you should have had to deal with.

    Thank you so much and im very sorry for your loss of 2 loved ones . To lose someone is so very hard and devastating for all family members ..Please accept my condolences ...:cry:
