I am all for children riding on state-maintained roads without wearing helmets . It just makes it easier for one to hit them.

If you are that unintelligent than one deserves to suffer the consequences.

Nah, you know I am not one to usually pick apart grammar and spelling, but I could not resist and did not want to appear petty. I got bored of jousting with Omni a while ago, he is who he is - and has taken our "beatings" quite well.

My son rides an ATV on the dirt paths ONLY and with a helmet. Regardless of whether it's illegal or not I just don't understand why any parent would let their child drive an ATV of any size without a helmet.

I'm not getting where some of you don't understand the "illegal" part. It has nothing to do with whether we are in the "country" or not. I guess you don't care much about your kid if you allow him/her to run around on public roads with no helmet. :?

The reason this tweaks me to no end is because my own mother is laid up with a shattered leg from an accident a couple weeks ago on an ATV. Luckily she WAS wearing her helmet, or she could very well be brain damaged along with the 8 inch rod, titanium plate and six screws holding her leg back together.

Unfortunately the riding spots are getting few and far between out here nowadays. Somebody with a bunch of land just needs to open it up and charge a few bucks to let ATVs and 4x4 trucks ride. Tho I have found that jerks tend to tear up those types of places with.....

    A:Trash
B: Rip and shred everything with full throttle
C: Getting plastered and doin both the above

I keep hearing alot of negatives about Buscoe. I was gonna go when I first got my little 125 3-wheeler. My friend that goes alot said "you gotta be racin around all the time or you'll get ran over". Now that I have a racing 4-wheeler, I might be O.K. but my kids like to putt around on the 3-wheel with me. Maybe I'll just stick to illegally ridin the streets around here ;)

If your 4wheeler payment is more than you trailer or truck payment, you may need to check your priorities. But seriously, I love the native 'necks on here. Their sense of false entitlement makes me laugh. When your head cracks the asphalt from getting plastered on Grill Rd or Matthews Rd karma will surely have rendered its welcome head. BTW, I am a Johnston County native neck as well.

I'd rather be a big unc fan than put mafia in my name to feel bigger than I really am.

I'm no liberal, I just like winning college sports. The last I checked Moo U was lacking in that department. You hate the Hurricanes too I guess because the RBC Center was built for hockey more so than basketball?

OK, being a UNC fan from birth is pulling for winners huh? I got news for ya dude, David Thompson isn't coming back. BTW, I'm no "wal-mart" fan, I buy my apparel from the mall and like.......lol. JCC homie that's how I rolled. So is that you on the bi-plane or whatever its called in the area? How much are those things? One more question, is there anywhere in the Cleveland School area that you or anyone who owns land that allow people to ride ATV's?

Well, I got both my wheelers for free, live in a 5 bdr HOUSE, and paid cash for my pick-up truck, my other 4x4 truck, I traded a riding lawn mower for. I am extremely thrifty, so I think my priorities are straight. I'm so cheap, I squeeze a penny and make boogers pop outta lincoln's nose.

Entitled? Nope, just believe in live and let live.

Cracked head almost came tonight actually. Hit a dip in the pavement under hard acceleration and the front of the 4-wheel jumped in the air like a playful dog going for a frisbee. Puckered me up for a few seconds for sure. If I do get splattered, please call 911 as you drive by pointing saying "see, I told you so". I'll be sure to put on my tombstone "4042ers were right".
