Starting a new thread off the Lap-band thread, so as to quit hijacking that one ... *blush*

Anyone belong, or wanting to join? I'm going to look in to it this upcoming week and am looking for buddies. The more, the merrier ... especially if you have a lot to lose (I've got a LOOOONG road ahead of me). (Did I mention a looonnng road? )

Any comments or complaints about their programs?

Gotta take that first step ... *gulp*

    I'm with ya elims.
I was thinking that the one at the Clayton Women's Center would be the closest.
    How about you?
Not exactly sure where that is though:oops:

I have a long road ahead, and could really use the support from friends:hurray:

I have heard a LOT of good things about WW.
They aren't pushy, they don't try to push food on you, and you actually get to eat food!!!
    No more starvation!
Let's Jump In With Both Feet!!!
    (nervously)

There is a group that meets at Hollands United Methodist church on 1010, seems that would be closer (to 40/42) than going to Clayton? Don't know where the Clayton women's center is tho.

Hehehe... it's kinda sad when you're so distracted and excited about a thread that you start to put your shoes on the wrong feet ... (was reading your posts and trying to put on sandals at the same time ... I'm not multi-talented. *grin*)

Only remember seeing the one in downtown Clayton at the Women's Center (which I dont know where it is, either)... I'll check the listings again as soon as I get home from running errands!

Now I have one shoe on (the correct foot!)... yay, me!

    LOL!
It's ok elims, I get that way too.
I get distracted, I was looking for my cell phone one day, while talking to someone, and I was so into the conversation, I LITERALLY checked one pocket then MOVED my cell phone to the other hand to check the other pocket.

Find out when and where and we will make it a date!
I think it will be easier to go in knowing that we will be there to support each other.
Who knows, maybe we can get a group discount:lol:

Me! Me! I want to go. The women's club is near the library I think. Maybe we can meet at 4042 or McGee's, depending on where everyone lives, and carpool.

Ok, so the next Clayton meeting is Thurs at 6:30 at 109 S Church St
Holland is only on Mon at 7

I did WW for quite a while a couple times, once before babies the second more recently. I LOVE IT!! My life is crazy right now so I am unable to make the meetings but still have the monthly pass online. It is life changing, although not following the plans to the T these days I am very conscious of what I am putting in my body.

Good luck, it is well worth it (oh..lost about 30 lbs)

Are the meetings once a week?
Are you allowed to bring a child if the meeting is in the eve. and DH is not home yet?
I live in the Mgee's area, real close to Dixon Rd Elem./Don Lee's

    P.S. Great Job Sher!!!

Yes, you have to weigh in once a week, the good thing is that you can weigh in at any meeting you can go to. (I did it during lunch at work, they had a meeting close by, however if I couldn't make that one I could go to a meeting closer to home during the evenings)

Not sure about taking you child, I have seen kids at meetings before but not sure if they came with a parent or were doing the program.

I am a lifetime member of WW. I love the program. I do need to get back on track. I am still at my original goal, but would like to lose 10 more just for my own satisfaction.
    Where is Holland?

Wow, this is ironic!! I was just talking to a friend today and told her I was going to start WW next week. I have about 30 pounds I would like to lose. I've done WW before and had really good results....I just got slack about my eating habits and after about 3 years I put the 30 pounds back on again. I think I'm going to the one at Holland's Church on 1010. If anybody wants to go there just let me know...I can meet you there or you can ride with me.

I'm thinking about it as well. I've been stressed the past month and have lost 10 pounds, and that ain't a good way to do it. Would like to lose about 30 more. I can go to the one in Clayton, providing soccer practice isn't that night. :?

Ok so the one in Clayton is off Main St at beside the library and yes it is once a week but the good thing about Clayton having multiple meetings if you miss the night you are suppose to go you can go the next meeting, if you miss the week completely you have to pay for it anyway, so be sure to make it to a meeting. The meetings are great to help you with support, I would love to go but with school, soccer and life right now I dont have the time so I just keep chugging away with my books. The key is to write it down, everything you put in your mouth to eat..

    Good Luck ladies

I like that idea about the Clayton meeting place - if you miss the Monday night or Thursday night meeting, there's still Saturday morning you can check in.

I didnt know there was a library in Clayton. Live and learn!

I think I'm leaning towards the one in downtown Clayton, either on Monday nights or Sat mornings ... Thursdays are out for me, I work til 7pm on that day. I'm thinking 'weighing in' is best done first thing in the morning (so on Saturday) so it'd be a good start/kick off to the weekend. I'm usually just getting up and around by then, anyway ... so I dunno. I dont have kids that demand my attention on Saturday mornings. *grin* (Newly married, no kids.)

Weight Watchers is great. I went to the Clayton Womens Club. It's great for reinventing a "lifestyle," but just like anything else, if you don't take it seriously and do what they tell you, it won't work. Journaling my food intake and going to meetings was key for me. I can't do it now because I'm preggo, but catch me in about 9 months!

I am back on Weight Watchers for the 2nd time. This time I am going to stick with it. It does work as long as you follow the program. I used to attend the Clayton meetings but since holland's church is closer, I switched. The same leader manages both locations. She is great!! If anyone wants to go to the Monday meetings at Hollands ~~ See you "losers" there, lol!! :)

(oh by the way... I will be out of town this monday so I won't make it, but the next monday I will be there)

I can tell you haven't seen me in a while. Can we say "oink, oink".....seriously I have packed on some weight...I could really stand to lose 50 pounds but I'm not gonna push it. I'd be happy with 30.

Well I guess I'll see you there. I'll be there this coming Monday for my first time. You'll have to let me know who you are when you come the following Monday.
