http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/...9fpFfTjExlIzGO+gF3hwjg8EX9WfZVUBa2I=&#pricing Looks like the monthly pass is the ticket. I think I may start at the beginning of Sept. It looks like the Clayton location is going to best for me. It'll be nice to have the support of fellow board members, so who's going on what days? I've got 30 lbs. I need to loose. I started it a couple of months ago and was going to one during lunch 10 mins. from my office, but it seems like meetings, etc. would get in the way. I definitely need some "buddies" to go with so I'll stay on track.
Thanks!! I always thought I was the only one who was that picky. I could go on for days about the stuff I won't eat. My husband gets very irritated with me because he likes everything.
Hey SB, it looks like we'll have a full house before it's over with. Even though I'm gonna go to a different one than most of you, I'd like it if we could post and give each other support. I'm excited about this. I can't wait to lose my first 5 pounds.
I can't wait to lose my first 50! I was walking by a store at lunch and looked in the reflection and my tail was jiggling so much it looked like 2 volkswagons trying to pass each other on a dirt road . . .
I have a suggestion for you girls or guys that are considering WW. Why don't you form your own group meeting, different house each week, do the weighing, talking, sharing etc., everyone puts in their weekly/monthly fee just as you'd do with WW and at the end of a set amount of time such as 3 or 6 months, the person who has lost the most weight gets the money as a treat for her/his dedication and hard work. Just a suggestion, good luck on to all of you.
Hehehe.. yeah, sometimes it seems like I'm just cooking the same things over and over again ... and the husband eats some WEIRD stuff when left to his own devices!! If he wants to eat it, HE can cook it!
Well that might be a bit hard for me. At least with WW if I can't make 1 meeting I can go to others at different times/dates.
Don't forget about etools. Its free with the Monthly pass. You will find alot of support and answers to different questions. I'm on it almost everyday!
So true, and I got to thinking about that idea a little later on, you'all would end up turning it into one big party and even though I don't need to lose weight I'd have to come to keep you'all in line, and maybe grab a glass of wine while I'm at it.
I just registered and wanted to thank you for all the ideas and groups, I need to lose weight it's just getting started. It's good to know other people are with me
Just after Easter, a couple old friends from where I used to live got some of their co-workers and formed a group of 10 people who all had similar amounts of weight to loose. They agreed to meet for once a week for 12 weeks at someone's house and each brought 3.00 as "dues". They had their weigh in and traded recipes and gave each other support if someone had an event approaching where food would be everywhere. If they lost a pound or more, they got $1 back. If they didn't or gained, they didn't - all of the $ was held by their appointed "treasurer." At the end of 12 weeks there was over 250.00 in the kitty and the person who lost the most received it. Since they all had close to the same amount of weight to loose, it sounded very fair. Only one person dropped out before they finished. The friend who told me about it didn't take home the $, but said she lost 27lbs during the meetings and was hoping to reach her goal of 40 pounds by Labor Day. Their motto was: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels
We did a similar thing at the school where I worked, but we based it on a percentage of your body weight. We had some who wanted to loose just 10 pounds and some that wanted to loose 50 plus pounds. The people with more to loose lost larger amounts and that discouraged some, so the percentage thing helped. We did it for 6 months and then someone got the prize money. It was fun. (Except one person is the one who got to see every one's weights!)
