8PM for Thing One and Thing Two. For 13 YO DS, since the middle school is an hour later this year I gave him a half-hour and he now goes to bed at 9:30. But 15 minutes of that is prep-time for bed/school... tee-hee.
I have a 14 and 16 year old. The 14 year old has a bed time of 10, but I tell him 9:30 so he will be in bed by 10. The 16 year old was 10 as well, but now that he doesn't have to be in class until 11:20 I am trying to teach him time management so we will see how it goes. He can either go to bed early and get up early to study or he can study at night and go to bed late and sleep in late. We will see how this works once he gets a job too. I will adjust as I need to. So far so good and he has been in school for 2 weeks.
KB, your 12 year olds are in the bed at 8? Did I read that right? Wow! My 12 year old would have a coniption fit! DD is almost 13, my rule is in bed by 9:30, and we leave the TV on a soft music channel. She's usually out in a few minutes. I do let her stay up till 10 to watch One Tree Hill once a week, lol...
I have a 6y and a 9 year they usually get in the bed around 900 930 but its usually 930 1000 before they fall a sleep. Since i take them to school and we dont have to leave the house till 830 so they get to sleep till around 730 in the morning.
you read right, in bed at 8 with a 30 minute tv show and lights out at 830. thats been their bedtime since they started kindergarten.
MG-Next week I think....it's not really my thing, but she loves it. KB-Well dang girl, go on with your bad self. I can't even get my 19 month old in bed by 8pm! LOL
with my kids when they moved up into a different level school they got an extra 30 minutes. So k-5 they had to be lights out by 8:30, 6-8 was 9pm, at least that was the plan except when ball interfered which happened a lot being they were involved in sports pretty much year round, but i tried. Now when they hit high school it started out at 10pm but with sports and everything and squeezing in homework, that schedule kinda went out the window. Oh well they survived and thrived so guess the flipflop schedule didn't hurt too much:lol:
Not sure, but I wish I knew I am tired of watching reruns. Not only that I want to know which one he called!!
I saw a school bus in Lansing subdivision dropping off my lil neighbor at 4:55. That poor baby must be tired.
Bed at 9:30 - lights out and tv off at 10. Youngest doesn't bother with the 30 min. he just goes straight to bed. Speaking of buses getting things straight. Stupid bus driver didn't come into our subdivision this morning and there are about 8 kids here that ride that bus. I was livid. Thank goodness for Tit4Tat. She took hers, another boy and my two boys. I was stuck on 40 trying to get to work that is only 18 miles from here and it took me almost an hour & a half.
Taking my baby to pre-school orientation today! I have such mixed emotions; I'm happy, nervous, sad, and excited! LOL FINALLY no one missed the bus this morning! All five kids got their buses!WOOHOO!
its jsut the parental control feature. I can block certain channels (and you know there are about a dozen that are on there) and it let me choose the power on and off feature....not even knowing what it was, I did, and I used it to my advantage it disabled the on/off switch manually, has to be done with the remote. Sweet!!
Kell, With you 100% on this one. Even for the teen I have a code that I must program in before any movies can be rented, etc., etc. Not that I think she would rent one that I would not approve of but she would rent movies everyday just to listen to the music sometimes. She loved Step Up 2 and so did I. Sherry
