Johnston County and the state of NC have a PK program. Call the More at Four program in Selma: 202-0002. They have classroms that serve the county at many of the schools.

Anyone have thoughts on McGees? My DD started Kindergarten last week, and so far so good.

Both my children went to West Clayton and I didn't enjoy that time period much. Clayton Middle is marvelous.

I had 3 years experience (K-2) at Cleveland Elem with my oldest and now on my 3rd year at West View (3-5) with him. Both schools are great. Parental involvement is next to none I've ever seen.

I don't know much about Cleveland now, but I'm betting if Cleo has an opinion about it I would take it. She is as hardcore as I am about my kids and school.

West View's teachers for the most part are great. There are a couple that are questionable, but that's every where. The office staff is great and the principal / assistants are wonderful! PTA is strong and I really like their theme this year "family." West View started with a very strong core and it seems to have only gotten better.
