OMG!! My puppy just unraveled several inches of my Berber carpet! I think it can be fixed, but I am sick! And it's in a highly visible spot. ARGGHHH!!!!!

    Thanks Squirel!

It's my own dern fault is the bad thing. You never, ever, never let a puppy out of your sight. I know better! Had to be reminded though. :?

Maybe buy a nice braided rug or oriental rug to cover the spot? Had to do that myself when my Cairn chewed a hole in my carpet when he was a pup.

Well just do what my wife always does.........blame it on your husband. "You should have been watching him. I can't do everything around the house. The cooking, the cleaning and washing your nasty underwear." Then somewhere around there I suddenly develop A.D.D. and its all better.

But seriously, may I suggest a rug to both cover the spot and really pull the room together nicely........lol. Or maybe not.

UNC- May I suggest that if thangs ever get bad, perhaps they should choose someone else to talk you off the ledge.

On the other hand, perhaps KDC should try your wifes approach. She may be able to "talk" him right out of the flooring business altogether.

    LOL! Ya'll are crazy..............in a good way.

I have a two story house, and the spot is right at the top of the stairs, so really, covering it with a rug is not an option. :? I've got it taped down with painters tape at the moment so she can't dig at it again.

So I did some internet searching last night on how to repair it and am going to buy a crochet hook today, and hopefully be able to pull the loops back through, since it's not cut. It's going to take me a while though. I'll let you know if it works.

AND KDC, he's bored. Sorry to say that, but he is. Wear that little tail out with walks, runs, etc... he'll be too tired to tear up anything

Yeah, I know. But I do have to go to the restroom on occasion, she normally follows me there too. 9 times out of 10, I have an audience of one of the cats and the dog. Regardless..................she does get played with, walked, etc. a lot. Has more toys than a lot of kids. This is the first time we've had an issue of this magnitude. :? Trust me, it didn't take the little @#$% long to do it either. 8)

My dogs have TONS of toys and stuff to play with and I swear my little guy is the MOST destructive thing I have ever encountered! I now have to buy a new LR set because he has decided to eat the pillows on the pillowback couch and loveseat. We have been through...ummm...4 rugs I think because he thinks their tasty! I have learned to buy the cheap ones for now. I won't even list all of the other things he's eaten. He turned 1 in August...I'm not sure if I will survive the puppy stage!

I think you should give the rug to the pup.

I always thought the bad side of a puppy had a tail on it.

I'd take that over what she did to the carpet!!

I've almost got it fixed though, not perfect, but much better.

Glad you have it just about fixed. Another reason to add to my list as to why we don't need a dog.

I completely understand what you are going through. My puppy is almost 6 mths old and I feel like she is getting more curious. She steals things out of the bathroom trashcan and runs with it. Her favorite is toliet paper rolls. Now she can reach the full roll and tears the paper off of it. She tries to chew on the carpet a little bit but thank god has never done anything like that. Its hard to be mad at them when they look so cute!

At the time I wanted to give him a big ole whooping, but it was not his fault. It was mine for not keeping an eye on him. That's the thing about pups and toddlers, you turn your back on them for 5 seconds and they are into something that is no good! :)
