We are looking for a kitten that is really loving and not wild. We would love a kitten (or older even) that would love to lay around the porch and climb on our laps. Only want a boy - we don't want lots of kittens later! Please email me if you have one...
Even if you get a little boy, you would need to get him fixed so that he's not running around making lots of other kittens for other people. Why not get a female, either way you should be responsible enough to get either gender fixed. Not only does it keep them healthier, it will keep them from wandering when they go into heat. What is it someone else just posted... not to be mean .. but if you can't afford to vet, you can't afford the pet.
Go to a shelter and find an cat that has been fixed. Temperment of the cat will vary, so be sure to play with the cat. Yes, you will have to pay the adoption fees, but as others have said, there are always costs in adopting a pet. Our two 'free' kittens have cost us nearly $300, but we know we have 2 happy kittens that are spayed, have all their shots, are microchipped, and eat good kitten food. In exchange, they provide us hours of enjoyment
The adoption fee for cats/kittens at Vets for Pets in Dunn is $30, which includes spaying or neutering, and the first shots.
Wow, you can't beat that! Even if you get a boy cat and keep him in the house, you need to get him neutered at an early age or he will be spraying your furniture to mark his territory.
I know I am going to repeat what some other said, but are you not planning on getting the cat neutered??? I mean seriously??? You can't keep a male intact cat in the house without him spraying EVERYWHERE. Then you will let him out to impregnate any willing femaler around. But I guess as long as you aren't the one stuck with the kittens.............................:?
Nothing worse than cat pee smell! Get the little guy fixed before he's 6 months old and he won't spray.
Thanks... he looks like my fat (neutered) friendly feral cat that has taken up residence on my front porch!!
And no offense, but are you just going to go through cats until you find one that is going to lay around?
They're too little if they are only 6 or 7 weeks old... have to wait until the "nuggets" appear I think. Females have to be a little older but no expert on that here.
