If so, could you report how it turned out?

Just saw it on the local news and it looked as though around 200 showed up. Most protesting against but some in defense of Steve. As far as I know we had no problems, which is great. The vigil was a prayer for the remarks.

    Just what we saw,

We had thought about going, but got tied up with other things when we realized we had missed it. I watched wral and they said there were no incidents. It was a very peaceful gathering by all sides.

    Thank you both,
I just went to the WRAL website and watched the video footage.
I'm surprised only 200 people total showed up.

I bet 190 of them were from out of the county.

It tells me that it isn't nearly as big a deal as some would have you believe.

It tells me that people also have other things going on in life and cannot make every single event everywhere that they agree or disagree with. I disagree with Torture but could not make it to that protest in our county a while back and it saddened me that I could not.

    Howdy, kdc,

The fact remains if it was SO important to the group or groups in question, they would have been out there. The being "busy" excuse wears a bit thin, as we ALL have stuff going on in our lives. You make the time for things that are important to you and prioritize.
