 at the censored part. Who came up with that dog breed name anyway? Let me guess... China! Hope you find the owner.
It's spelled Shih-Tzu and pronounced "Shee - Zoo" (with a long "e" sound). Lots of people call it SH**-Tzu, but that is not how it is properly pronounced. Actually the word Shih-Tzu is Chinese and is translated to the word LION. (Just a little breed trivia) Hope the lion pup is reunited with her family soon!
If you don't find her owner, let me know. I might know someone who is looking for a small companion dog.
My BIL and his family just got two of them. They are funny looking in cute way. Sweet little dogs. His neighbor is giving him crap about them though, says he should trade both of them in on one "real" dog, LOL:jester:
 I do know that Shih-Tzu is a Chinese breed, and how to pronounce it. Just messing around with MamaApe. I used to have one of these beauties and it still drives me crazy to hear people pronounce the breed name "Keesh'-ond" or "Kees'-hond" (long e in the first syllable) when it is actually pronounced "Kayz'-hond" (long a in 1st syllable.)
Glad the pup is reunited safely with his/her family! Good looking dog there Ready! Yeah I know what you mean about the pronunciation (sp?) of certain breeds. It drives me nuts when someone says they have a "Rock-Wilder" (supposed to be Rottweiler...)
Oh my gosh, I'm afraid I would laugh if I heard that! I call them Rotties. I'm also guilty of saying, "I have a Pom." Wonder how many people wonder what in the world I'm talking about.
I have a Pom too! What color is yours? Mine is a Sable. I am a proud dog mom to a 2 y/o Pom, a just turned 6 y/o Cairn, and an almost 10 y/o Westie.
Here's my little 8 pound pom girl She's around 12-13 years old and still as spunky as they come. LOVE HER!
What a beautiful little girl!! I know you are a proud Dog Mom! Spunky is the perfect word to describe a Pom! Our little guy is such a little comedian, he does the funniest things then turns around to make sure you are watching him! What a ham!!
I LOVE poms ... my absolute favorite small dog breed. The husband has said 'Absolutely no way, no small dogs.' but I may bring one home someday anyway.
