We all make mistakes..................I certainly have.............it's the sheer number and whether we learn from them or not that are the issues.

Honestly, after the beating we are taking on Wall Street today.............I don't really give a rat's behind who gets in office, I just can't wait for it to be over. :?

Speaking of the bailout. . .I think it would have been more of a bailout to take that 800 billion dollars and distribute it evenly to every legal man woman and child in the US. . .there are roughly 310 million of us. . .which would give us each about 2.5 MILLION dollars. . .:hurray: There could have been a stipulation that we HAD to pay off all of our homes/loans/and debts of any sort BEFORE we could have "fun" with it. . .but this would have SAVED the banks. . .KEPT everyone in their homes. . .BOOSTED Wall Street. . .and all of us would be debt free and able to spend, spend, spend. . .but, no. . .give it to the idiots who messed up and put a bandaid on a gaping wound. . .sickening!

    NOW THAT I LIKE

This email reeked of a hoax to me, and indeed snopes.com has reported it to be false.

Please try to have a sense of humor. I'm not crazy about McCain, but even the "Top 5" I gave are better reasons than any I could give for Obama.

Where? I must have missed all of them. Everytime I ask exactly what Mr. Obama will do, I get a link to his website. When I ask for specifics I get ignored.

Your math needs a bit of work.

$800 Billion (It's actually $700 billion. The other $100 billion were earmarks for other things and not part of the bailout) divided by 310 million (the CIA World Factbook actually has us at 303 million) would equal about $2580.64 for every man, woman and child in the US.

trust me I have a sense of humor, but reasons like that joking or not just give more ammunition to the dems..

Check the zeros on your calculator, 800 billion divided by 310 million comes out to $2,580 per person, a far cry from that 2.5 million.

Oops...saw Clif posted while I was typing. Sorry for being redundant.

Your correct snopes says it's false, but only addresses his student loans and house he purchased. It only says that Obama "said" he paid for his home and school loans from his book deals. No proof of that being true either.

Snopes doesn't touch his college roommates. His realtionships with Rezko, Jarrett or Malley.

    that pesky decimal lol

Hey, just narrow it down to households and it would give each about 7K. . .(I personally liked the other math better) It would get lots of bills paid off - and stimulate the economy better than the bailout.

Speaking of bailout. . .Wall Street is looking bleak - I'll be working till I pack my bags at this rate. It will likely take years before we come close to recovering and by then, there will be some other BS to bail out.

They should have let the ship sink. We would have been no worse off.

If snopes has discredited part of the email as a hoax, then I would consider the entire email as highly suspect. I'm not really picking sides here. I just dislike questionable material like this being distributed as the truth.

Well here are some of the messiahs' words of wisdom. . .HIS words. . .

Obama not a racist, you insist? Stew on this:

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father:'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'
He's referring to Malcolm X here folks

From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

Snopes says its not true, but offers no proof. They just said Obama "said" he paid for it with his book deals. So I guess that makes the whole thing false. Please give me a break. Like I mentioned before, snopes doesn't address all his radical muslim buddy ties.

The complete quote From Audacity of Hope:
Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction

This is the very first quote of yours that I checked. It turns out that you cherry picked a quote and used it out of context. I'll assume the rest of the quotes are the same.

'Syria Banking on Obama Victory, Invites Advisors'

    by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

(IsraelNN.com) Syria is banking on an Obama victory and is trying to reach out to his advisors, according to a Forbes article by the editor-in-chief of the Damascus-based All4Syria website.

Ayman Abdel Nour also revealed in the widely respected financial publication that Syria covered up a terrorist attack on its intelligence agency last week.

He said that Syria wants Senator Obama to win the presidential election to help Syrian President Bashar Assad bring back prosperity to Syria, which is under American sanctions. "The government wants desperately for things to look under control" in the wake of growing dissent, according to Nour.

He said that Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime "will bank on Barack Obama becoming president of the United States" and is trying to reach out to his advisors. Nour named Robert Malley, from whom Obama quickly himself disassociated earlier this year after it was revealed that he had direct contact with Hamas and Syrian leaders. Malley "has no formal role in the campaign and will not play one in the future," the Obama camp has stated.

However, Nour wrote that Malley and Obama advisors Daniel Kurtz and Hernando de Soto have been officially invited to Syria, as anti-government extremists pose a growing threat.

He stated that recently hushed-up incidents in Syria are "just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what could happen in Syria," where he said the number of extremists is growing. Nour revealed that an explosion last week several feet from the government's security and intelligence agency killed 17 people.

"The way the Syrian government handled publicity surrounding the attack is telling," Nour wrote. "In addition to omitting the existence of the Mukhabarat [security agency] building, official press releases mentioned several times that all of those killed and injured were civilians--until websites published the name of a general, George Garbi, who was killed in the blast." The Fatah Al Islam terrorist group is suspected of being behind the attack.

Media reports continued to conceal the attempt to attack the security agency and the journalist reported that other incidents have gone unreported, including arrests on farms where arms and ammunition were stored.

Don't feel bad, you're in good company. On the Neil Boortz Radio Show the other day, someone said it would be almost $300,000 after taxes for everyone over 18, and Boortz didn't catch it, just agreed with them.
