You mistake my frustration vehemence for arrogance. I'm not only a soldier, but a taxpayer too. A parent, a teacher, a volunteer for charity..just like most of the rest of this community. I am willing to grant that people of other cultures and beliefs have as much validity to theirs as I do mine. That's where I perceive that you do not. I'm not attacking your religious beliefs. I'm pointing out that everything you perceive and provide is "colored" based on that. To me, the arrogance of fundamentalists saying that their Way is the only Way is true arrogance. I'll be the first to agree that I could use other terms and language in a method designed to express myself. Do I always express myself, such that my point is well made, unambiguous, and easily understood? No, I do not. Pot, I'm Kettle. Nice to met you. I've never asked for personal accolades. I neither ask for, nor need your respect and admiration, personally. I speak for those service people who have no voice. Military service is about Mission First, People Always. Those who have served get it. Those who have not can only wonder or guess. So, not for me, but for those families who have sent, and continue to send their family members into harm's way to protect you, you might want to express your gratitude to them. That I do is unquestionable.
I wouldn't worry about Obama too much. Even if he his elected, I doubt seriously he will be able to serve his term.
Sorry, meant to put this headline to my last thread. HILLARY RAISES ASSASSINATION ISSUE Remember Hillary said it first...
Huh?!?! It's a reality that this kind of thing could come into play and it would be naive to think otherwise.
I guess its hard to believe McCain supporters are just spouting off anything they want. And yes I know McCain could die from health issues but you know as well as I do Obama's was clearly meant as assination(sp) and probably racist as well! Continue on, I tried!
Listen, if the radical Muslim world considers Obama a Muslim based on his heritage, and they think he is claiming to be a Christian just so he can lie his way into the White House for their benefit, and then he wins and doesn't do what they want him to do... do you think for one minute that they won't call for his head on a platter? Seriously. :?
ready, please answer this for me. or anyone else who has this fear.. I have stated more than once that I support McCain but all the fear people try to instill on others it was gets me. I would rather you talk about the good of McCain than the bad of Obama that has been :beathorse:
I think all it takes is for one little door to be opened in the way of radical Islam and we'll be just like Europe is today, scratching our heads and asking how the hell it happened.
We did not become communist under FDR (in spite of his attempts), we will not become an Islamic state under Mr. Obama (no matter what his attempts). We have checks and balances to prevent such things from happening. The more you keep trying to stir up fear in such a way, the more people are seeing you as a simple wacko (no matter how pure and innocent your intent may be), and who wants to be in the party of wackos? In effect, every post like that is causing more and more people to start to seriously consider voting for Mr. Obama.
Personal experience. For someone who claims to be a Christian, I have yet to see any Christian values coming out of any of your posts.
That's fine Cliff, it's your right as an American to believe whatever you want about me. But from now on whenever you start trying to talk about anything with me I'll just have two little words for you... Santa Claus. For those of you reading this who are new to this board, what that means is that several years ago this man and I got into a debate about his belief in a REAL LIFE Santa Claus. Not a spirit of Santa, like most of us have when we play Santa for our kids, but a real life Santa that still, to this very day, brings him gifts for Christmas. Based on that, I will no longer debate with him. If he ever grows up and learns the truth about Santa then maybe I can talk with him about grown up issues.
If Obama is "TRULY" turning his back on the Muslim religion. He will have to stay in the bunker the whole time he's president. Plus you have all the hate groups that will not be to happy. The Eddie Murphy first black president skid from "Delirious" keeps playing in my mind. Also other reason to be concerned about the Democratic ticket. In 1988, Joe Biden nearly died from a ruptured brain aneurysm. He actually had two aneurysms, one ruptured on the left side and then he had a second surgery several months later to clip another aneurysm on the right side. So a vote for Obama/Biden could turn out to be a vote for Pelosi.
my take on it is: Radical Islam is one of the greatest threats and has been for awhile. Its so bad that even Pakistan declared war against radical islam. So anybody with even a hint of association with them should be taken to task.
