I think it is the smell of McCain's flop sweat that is getting to them.

Not for me, I just don't see the point in keep dragging up Obama's past that has been beat to death, he could win the election if he would stay on main issues! I hate to see alot of this crap that I get in emails, makes no sense to me. And frankly I will vote for McCain knowing that he has probably already lost this election, unless he can pull some major recovery efforts these last few weeks!

Why Magnolia, I had no idea you hated Republicans that much. You think bashing them is a civic duty?

Just to show that I’m balanced with my criticism; I also think that it is wrong for the Obama campaign to keep bringing up the Keating 5 scandal. McCain was cleared of any wrong doing, but probably did make some poor judgments. Hopefully he learned his lesson. I think we need to give everyone a break. We’ve all made bad decisions before, but fortunately our every moves aren’t scrutinized by the media. I don’t think there are many of us that could withstand such of an attack.

Way back in this Thread I Posted some items about my youth. In doing so I wanted people to understand that it was the PAST! Even though many listed have gone on to serve American citizens.

It amazes me that issues, current issues, are not discussed more by both sides. So McCain was linked with the Keating 5 and Obama sat near someone who was linked with the Weather Underground. I want to know what they will do NOW!

We are hurting. In Clayton, Johnston County, North Carolina, the United States and the World, we are hurting. Will the next administration lead? Will they even have a chance to clean all of this up? Will the unemployed get jobs? Will Americans have health care? Will we ever find a solution to our oil crisis?

Will Sherry be able to support her family by buying food, paying a mortgage, utilities, etc.? I certainly hope so but in trying to discuss these issues with 4042ers it comes down to Obama is a Muslim and will be an extremist and McCain is a womanizing man who was associated with the Keating 5. If a person really wants to understand, I have only brought up the Keating 5 after reading about Obama's Muslim faith, etc. Time to stop, don't you think?

No, Magnolia, I could care less who you vote for because in my mind you cause turmoil instead of solving problems. It does seem to me that others are trying to find out how the next POTUS will fix all of this. I don't have solutions as I am unsure which problem to start with. We have so many, what a shame!

    Good morning,
    Sherry

I'm still shocked that you equated a great man like Ceasar Chavez who fought the system within the system to a terrorist bomber who never gave a rats patoot for human life.

And where is your discussion of the issues?

It all comes dopwn to a choice between two simple platforms. Do you want the government to provide you with all you need, or do you want the government to stand aside while you earn what you need yourself?

Which of the two major candidates actually believes that latter?????

Neither. So, if you believe the government should get out of your hair, why vote for either one?

Do you know that you can join a Batist church by a transfer of letter from antother church, statement of faith OR to be baptizied???

Did you know that he aplogized for the adultery and his own first wife accepted his apology so did our Lord if he was truly sorry for his wrong doings of cheating....

Do you remember McCain was the only one not convicted during the Keating Five? Oh and he made a public apology although I know that is not good enough as discussed in other topics....

Who cares that he sent someone in the Mafia a birthday card! LOL

I mean people are digging deep to think these are true skeletons.

I rather have the Mafia on my side than possible radical terrorist or evil people! :)

That's a little scary, isn't he supposed to be the ultimate authority on a certain tax reform proposal? One would think it would have registered on him that that didn't sound quite right.

Did you watch the whole video and why he voted against these AT THAT TIME??? He said he did not oppose them later but concerened about our spending and the war in the Iraq and that he had concerns about the deficits.

Yes to those who are never wrong (not you personally KDS LOL) but I am just saying that there is generally a reason behind a vote. Although I know the site I posted seems anti McCain to those who want to see it that way but I totally can understand his reasonings.

He makes good arguments against those tax cuts, and those arguments are still valid. He has changed his mind about the Bush tax cuts, but the deficit problem certainly has not lessened in any way since that time.

I actually agreed with him at the time. There was a time when I admired McCain's maverick stands, but I'm afraid he has let his ambition override his integrity. Back when they were talking about a McCain-Lieberman unity ticket, I objected to Lieberman much more than McCain.
