my daughter is in the process of dissecting a cat. She doesn't like it but she's doing it. last year my oldest had to dissect a rabbit. she had to begin with skinning him. she also dissected a cow eye.
EEWWWw I had to disect a frog back in HS....I am not sure what happened...but I didn't do it. Not me ...no way.
When I was in 7th or 8th we had to dissect a frog...HAD TO. In 10th grade we had to do something bigger, pig maybe? But that was not mandatory, I think we would get a failing grade for the project, but as long as we were doing ok in the class, it wouldn't matter too much. Or maybe we could do something in leiu of it, I can't quite remember. I know I didn't do it in 10th grade, and I hated doing it in jr high, boy did the room stink that day!!
You know nothing about the industry which provides these animals to our school children. Its located right here in NC. These specimens are provided with no assurance of disease, or biological hazard to our children. Their methods of obtaining the specimens is appauling and disgusting. But as usual , you jump on the bandwagon to express your ignorant narcissistic and belligerent BS. First of all, you have no idea what I know or don't know. Ok? Secondly, are you seriously trying to use a site from Peta to back your claim? Why don't you just use something more reputable......like The Enquirer. Besides, my comment had nothing to do with dissections as much as it did with some girl going to the extreme of changing her name.
I'd say you laid your cards on the table with that comment, and you are an open book. If it doesn't fit your ideas, methology, or beliefs you brand it liberal. It gives you that good feeling of supremicy you desire so much. I'm sure PITA went out and killed all those animals and cast a crew with staging to film that video. Keep grabbing, eventually you'll get a straw. Then I suggest you think before you type. She made a commitment to fix an injustice. How she gets there is her choice.
