And the same can be said about you and your beliefs. If people don't really believe in their beliefs then something is wrong... or they're either lawyers or politicians.

I've been known to shout out Amen when it strikes my fancy! :-D Speaking in tongues... not my thing but I don't have a problem with it since the Bible says it's a gift to be used when appropriate. Snake handling... hmmm, I don't know about that, I thought our job was to try to keep the devil OUT of church, not invite him in.

Not sure why sad is warranted. The existence of God, to date, cannot be scientifically proven. Fish on Fridays is financial. Please research, it is interesting. Just because something cannot, as yet, be scientifically proven does not mean it is not real/true. That being said, I am not arguing either way here. I just enjoy Clif's posts. They usually have quite a bit of thought behind them.

I just think you may joke when you say that those who don't believe what you believe are "wrong", but isn't that what you've been saying all along. The rest of us have got it wrong and that you pray that God shows us otherwise?

A Baptist preacher was preaching one Sunday morning and he stopped suddenly. He told the congregation that the Lord told him to tell the people to split up into two sides in the sanctuary. He wanted all the saved people on his left and all of the unsaved on the other. Well everyone moved to either side except for one man who was standing in the center isle looking back and forth with a puzzled look on his face. The preacher said, "Brother, what's the problem? It's cut and dry you're either saved or not." The man replied, "Well preacher its like this. Over on the saved side there are a lot of good cooks on that side and you know how I love to eat. Especially some fried chicken and those saved women can really make some good fried chicken. The preacher answered, "So?". Well the young man replied back," Well over on this unsaved side, there sure are some pretty women on this side preacher. And you know how I love me some pretty women." Well the preacher thought for a second or two and said,"Well son there's only one thing left for you to do then. Come up here to this pulpit because you've been called into the ministry."

I have a question for you. You believe that when you participate in Communion that you are actually eating Jesus' body and drinking His blood, that He is physically there at the time, correct? I believe that Communion is done in remembrance of Him and that we are actually eating bread and drinking grape juice. Is your belief right or is mine?

Because, if you don't believe that your belief about Communion is right and my belief is wrong, then you don't actually believe in your belief. Right?

That doesn't mean that we can't respect each others beliefs about Communion though since Communion is not what will determine if we get into Heaven or not. However... when, for example, someone claims to be a Christian and expresses that there are ways into Heaven apart from Jesus Christ, that is where a line has to be drawn. I can not and will not respect that belief from someone who calls him/herself a Christian. And for that kind of person, yes, I will pray that God will reveal the truth, because that person is not saved and is lost.

A man wants to have sex with a 4 year old child and believes it is okay. Is he different or is he wrong?

Now you are just pulling crap out your arse, we are talking about the interpetation of the bible not the laws.

you can not have complete truth when it comes to the bible you can only have what you believe to be the truth, it can be and has been interpetted many ways.

Here's the only point I was trying to make. You claim to have made a joke that momof3 is wrong and tried to play it off like you didn't mean it, but isn't that truly what you believe based on what her faith is as she explained it and what you are saying above?

Ready, you've officially proven you're brainwashed. Your beliefs and what you've just said is why Joe Public take a crap on modern Christians. YOUR beliefs, or Baptists beliefs are YOUR interpretations of the Bible. Catholic beliefs are their take on the Bible and it's teachings. The God Hates Fa*$ sect and their beliefs are THEIR take on the Bible. Why are YOUR beliefs any more right than Colinmama's? Or mine? Or Joe Anybody? GEEZ! Your "stuffing down the throat" tactics don't draw people to Jesus. I mean we all hide behind a keyboard here and most everyone is more brazen on this forum. I hope for the rest of us your tactics in the REAL world are less judgmental, less hard line and more understanding and tactful.

There's only one Judge. Only one who can sit in judgement of who's belief is correct or who's belief is incorrect and that would be noone on this forum or for that matter anyone out there in this world. To each his own and let there be only one who can truly judge when its time.
