How to get ink marks out of a shirt?

Help! I like gel pens because they write so easy, but I got some marks from one on a shirt. Anybody know a good way to get it out?

 

hairspray.....no kidding.
soak the area, and then wash.

 

hairspray - had yellow ink from a print press tracked onto my carpet. Sprayed hairspray on it, rubbed with some elbow grease and it all came up.

 

Hairspray as mentioned above. Rubbing alcohol sometimes works too.

My SIL swears by rubbing alcohol to remove ink.

 

whats the best way to remove an ink mark from leather?

 

I wish I knew! I ruined a Coach purse I carried for about 3 days with an ink pen. I could have cried!

 

I saw several ways on this web site. Haven't tried any of them, but I think hairspray will work on leather too. good luck.

Since my ink pen is my main tool I have put ink stains on a lot of shirts. I have found that the cheaper the hairspray, the better it works! 8)
