Evidently people are paying it.

I have only used those when I just didn't pay attention and let my tank get too low to go elsewhere.

 

I'm glad they were busted! I want to know how on earth are they going to reimburse people though?? Do they have allllllll the names and numbers of those that got gas there at the time? I just don't get it.:?

 

I read in one article that they are supposed to refund customers via their credit/debit & gas cards. Anyone who paid cash would be entitled to a refund also, they just have to prove their proof of purchase with a receipt.

national average is irrelevant as NC has some of the highest gas taxes in the southeast.

gouging only occurs when there a shortage of supply or an unexpected surge in demand. otherwise, the free market will reign down on those that charge too much.

 

whatever. it's $2.87 on Capital and was at the beach. It's $2.69 in the Greensboro area. it should be mandated to some degree, taxes or not, within the State.

 

Yea...forget that whole capitalism thing. Obamanation is taking over and it isnt even November yet.

There's a gas station here in Wendell that is still 3.21 a gallon ....***

 

Walmart in Clayton has it at $2.91, or at least that's what it was at 12:45 PM today.
