Alaska funded Palin kids' travel

I hate to break it to people calling for this guy's removal. Being a jerk MAY get you removed (although as far as I have seen immaturity, name calling, being an arse are all allowed here. shouldn't be any different for a new person), but you create a new screename and hop back on. That's how it works around here. Banning means nothing so you might as well strap on the thick skin and give it back to this guy or else ignore him because "reporting" him is useless.

I just have one question for all you who are complaining about the spending habits a governor in another state.

Where were you six months ago when Gov. Mike Easley and his wife went to Italy on tax payer money? It would seem when our own governor takes a trip with his wife using your money you don't have a problem, but when some other governor in a state on the other side of the country uses the funds supplied by the residents of that state, you take issue.

 

hell he even has his own plane.. where is the outrage people!

The point is that Palin was brought in as part of a team to clean up DC, when in reality she is as bad if not worse than most in DC.

 

Oh absoulely i have a problem with ANY of them wasting money .. I am not discriminating against Governors / Senators ..Its simple , Its not right no matter who you are to use taxpayers money to pay for your lifestyle and things you want to do .

And yet when Gov. Easley was out wasting tax payer monies, you were strangely silent. No, you're not discriminating against governors, just against Republicans. Democrats apparently get a free ride.

 

Just asking but doesn't she still live in the house she had before becoming Governor and doesn't she keep her other expenses down. In other words is a few trips that she brought her children on, and as a mother I would have taken mine, does it really compare. Did they not save money on other things? I know wasteful spending is wasteful spending just trying to put some clarification on somethings for me.

Who cares what house she lives in as long as it is not at the expense of taxpayers. No new porch for her house, I guess. Running on a platform of cleaning up the spending in Washington and getting rid of special interests and lobbyists but turning in receipts for expenses, getting reimbursed and thinking it's okay to do your own thing just does not sit right. Does it really? If you owned a business would it be okay to let employees go on business trips and charge expenses from their family to your business? I doubt it!

Let's not get started on how she wants to work on the Disability Act. Saw Maria Shriver on television and her statement was great. "When she starts hiring some of those disabled people then she is helping."

Please note that I thought it was wrong with Gov. Easley and I think it is wrong with Gov. Palin. Party affiliation shouldn't make a difference, wasting and defrauding tax money should be a concern to us all.

 

It has nothing to do with laziness, it's impossible to prove a negative.

Be that as it may, though, I stand corrected, There is a thread where you defended Mr. Easley's trip. So, now, how is it that you're ok with him using our tax monies to take this trip to Italy but you have a problem with a governor in another state using that state's tax monies?

Your protests are a bit weak on this.

 

Like I said this is has nothing to do with Palin supposedly going to DC to clean up things when she is as filthy as those she is suppose to clean up.

 

So that fact that Easley didn't declare that he was going to clean up the corruption in Raleigh gives him a free pass. I see.
