So I am thinking I want to put some photo books together and give them as Christmas presents this year. Has anyone done this and is there a place that does them at a reasonable price?
Not sure of the price but Target had some nice ones that I perused while waiting four hours for my immediate prints one day.
My younger sister did this for us last Christmas & it is truly one of the Top 5 Christmas presents of all times. Think she picked up a small photo album. The front section was all the same for all the children but second half was about each individual child-from early babyhood until present. Way back when we were little(when dinosaurs roamed earth)we didn't get a picture taken every time we smiled-as I try to do with my grandchildren. This album is one thing that I hope my grandchildren will want when I am no longer aroound. Boo hoo-hope it will be a way down the road. Also another cool thing would be like a journal about things that happened in our early years. I have been thinking about one of stories that my Mom told me(she was born 1916) so there is a lot of cool stuff. Such as when she & Dad first got married, death of first child, later years(including her first plane ride to Las Vegas to see our sister.)
You can go to www.vistaprint.com and upload your own photos onto a calander. I did one for mom last year as a stocking stuffer! Way fun! If you are doing regular photos try dollar tree or the dollar store
I love doing these!! I do one every year for my parents in NY that is all about my boys (their grandbabies..) I use: www.snapfish.com
I think they are going to be great. May get a little pricey either way depending on how many I want to do, but I can't do a scapbook for everyone so I think these will be super nice. I just have to pick 3 years of pictures to include!!
Sure, you can do a scrapbook for loads of people. We bought a bunch of scrapbooks at a good price at Michael's (White Oak) one year. I scanned the pictures we wanted and put captions on, then printed them off. Some of them went into everyone's scrapbook while others were just for "a" scrapbook. OMG, we still get thank yous. Borders come with some scrapbooks or to save money you can put a border on the computer after scanning the picture. Just PM me and I'll help you. I love this stuff. Good luck, Sherry
Oh I meant the scrapbooks where you print the pictures out and do everything by hand. I do think your way would be much easier. I'll let you know if I go this route.
I am too. Only I am letting you know that it is easier to do than we used to think. Same picture printed on picture paper. Borders come in the box, can be made or printed on the photo paper when printing the photo. It is way easy to do and allows one to keep the original picture while the recipient has a copy that is just exactly like the original picture (shiny paper and all, any size). Hope that helps, Sherry
They are. I interviewed for a job with them (didn't get it though :evil, but that doesn't mean I won't use them if they are affordable!! They're out near the airport.
