Early Dismissal today?

I don't see it on the school calendar I printed earlier this year but saw several neighbor children home early this afternoon. I thought they had early dismissal last week. Just wondering if the school calendar has changed.

 

nope, no early release for Johnston County left in this month.

 

It's not on mine either. Although they are out next Tuesday the 4th and again on the 11th. Of course, then there is Thanksgiving break from 11/26-11/28.

 

Hmmm ... I saw children from at least two families home from McGees Elementary early then think another up the street home early, too. Anything happen there today sending children home early? Maybe just a coincidence.

 

maybe they had a field trip and didn't go back to the school afterwards, if one of the Mom's chaperoned.

Could be early release for those finished with exams?

It's not exam time right now. And if it was - they don't let MS kids out before dismissal time after they finish exams.

The 2nd graders had a field trip to the nursery today and a few went home with mom after the fun was over. I took mine home too

 

I know at our school several parents have got their kids early and let them go home simply due to the quarterly assessment testing that's going on right now.
