    Hey elims,
not too bad, Chris was sick on Sunday with a really high fever, so I kept him home monday, no workout, then worked out tuesday. Then he had a Dr. Appt. today, so no workout. Ugh.
Had a bad day today. Ate some things I should not have. But!!! they were all fat free.
I made some No Pudge! Brownies, awesome btw I HIGHLY suggest them, needless to say there gone.
    *sigh*

Well, tomorrow is the 'big day'. The day after Halloween. UGH. What a sucky day for a weigh-in. I thought about going yesterday but had to work til 7. Not looking forward to seeing tomorrow's numbers. Oh well - gotta get it over with and look towards next week.

I hear that Elims. This has been a horrible week for me, and I just know that scale will be up 82 pounds! Argh. I have JDRF walk in the morning, and i'm hoping that if I get to the meeting super early I can weigh before everyone gets there. I need to be to the walk by 9:30 at the latest.

    Good luck tomorrow ladies!

Yep, it's the water weight that I always lose very quickly and easily. I can tell because I've had to pee like crazy. I'm down another pound, so 5.2 total, but I don't get too excited about the first 10 lbs or so because it's always the water. But hey, I'd rather that water be down the toilet than filling up my fat cells!

I have not had ANY sugar since Sunday. Not one piece of Halloween candy has passed my lips this week either.:hurray: It's a miracle!

Dont deprive yourself, that is the 1st thing that sends me into failure.
When I tell myself I cant have it, it only makes me want it more.

I have a box of sugar free fudgesicles in the freezer that are mine, ALL MINE!

Seriously, on South Beach, just like on Atkins, sugar is a big no no. Once I get past the cravings for it, my appetite drops dramatically. I didn't eat lunch today because I got busy and actually forgot to. I just had a late afternoon snack when I started feeling a little hungry and that held me over until supper.

Couldn't resist stepping on those scales again this morning and I'm now down 6.6 lbs... since Monday! Once I hit the 10 lb mark I'll start weighing once a week or so, but definitely not every day. I know when I hit that first dreaded plateau it will be discouraging enough without seeing it every single day. ;)

You're doing great, Ready!! Keep it up! Are you exercising, or at least walking, too? It'll help the poundage STAY off, and **** off those fat cells ... they'll start burning even more! ;)

Frame, I think that is SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!! I wanted to stand up and announce it for you at the meeting because you've been working so hard, (but I knew you'd smack me upside the head *grin*) ...

I was down .6 this week, which is still a loss. YAY!! I'm gonna try to walk more, just move more this next week. I felt so blah and run down this past week. I'm borderline anemic, so dont know if my anemia has been acting up, or what. I'm going to try and push for 1.6 this next week - to make my next 5. I like taking it in 5's ... it makes for fun goals. It sure beats looking at the long-term number!! Ugh!!

How was the Diabetes walk, Buena? There were a lot of ppl missing from the meeting. Several empty seats! We talked about what our meals say to us, and how to make them more satisfying.

Congrats on the pound lost! You are doing fan-dang-tastic!!

Thanks you, elims. Yes, I'm exercising... finally putting my stationary bike through some workouts! I'm now down 8.2 as of this morning. Apparently SB makes fat melt like butter. Sure wish I had done this instead of Atkins years ago, it is much more satisfying!

For anyone who has a problem with their blood sugar or has diabetes in their family and are at high risk for developing it, like me (mother, father, both grandmothers, aunts, uncles, 1st cousins w/ diabetes, PLUS, having had three 9+lb babies = HIGH RISK) you ought to at least read the book. Getting off sugar, white breads, and starches has made me feel like a new person! Atkins works if you're able to stand all the protein and the limited veggies, but SB allows a lot more variety with veggies in phase 1, which is making a world of difference to me. The first 3 days were pretty hard due to the sugar withdrawal but now, 7 days into it, I feel great! :-D

Best wishes to everyone else on their weight loss journey.

The walk was very good. I was surprised by all the people that showed up... seriously thousands. It was satisfying on so many levels; I felt good that I was part of such a great cause, but I also felt good because I was *able* to walk. Last year at this time my back would have prevented that. Three cheers for losing this weight so I can be more involved in things that really inspire me. :)

Way to go ladies! You all have so much to be proud of!

I lost 2.6 this week... which was a HUGE surprise for me.

This brings my total loss to 30.2 pounds. I cannot believe I've hit my 30 pound mark. I still look in the mirror and see zero difference. I'm hoping that I can get down another 5-10 by Christmas. We shall see.

Congratulations again to everyone. You all inspire me so much.
