Thank you for posting this. DS will be 21 soon and will fall off his father's insurance. I doubt he'll be able to afford dental on his own so this is really good to know because I want him to keep up with his dental cleanings. I'll pass the info on to him, it's worth the drive!

Be careful with the young male dentist (name withheld on purpose). I am still having issues with a filling he put in. However, the others are great and have been trying to help me get it corrected.

There are tvs in every area. They mute mine when I ask so maybe they could crank yours.

Congrats on the drop-in and nearing an actual appointment,
    Yo Mutha :p

Have you spoke directly to Dr Riccobene? He WILL take care of you! All that needs to be done is re-drill and re-fill!

note - I am NOT a dentist!

Congratulations Frame!!! You did it!! :hurray:

Sorry, I can't help you with those 2 doctors. I've only seen Dr. R. But I'm sure they're fine or they wouldn't be working there. I'm very proud of you!!

Both of those Doctors are very nice. I haven't experienced it myself yet, but I heard that Dr McNeely has a technique of putting in the novacaine that you barely even feel the needle. That would be a great thing!

    Unhappy patient

I recently had a TERRIBLE tooth ache. I thought it was an earache that went into my jaw...I started antibiotics on Thurs. I decided to wait a few days and thought that it would go away....I sure was wrong. I was in severe pain...to the point that I couldnt sleep or even lay down for that matter. I called the Riccobene office (40/42) on Sat. at 8:00 am...at first the receptionist said she didnt think I could be seen. I explained that I couldnt deal with the pain any longer (going on 4 days strong). She did get me an appointment. I had x-rays taken, of course, and she tapped on my teeth and wanted to do a "cold" test...hello, I am in so much pain at this point I am crying in the chair. She said continue taking the antibiotics and prescribed me Motrin with Codiene and told me that she wasnt sure what was going on and that I needed referral to someone else to see if a root canal was necessary. NO ANSWER on what the problem is. OK...It is Sun. I am taking all of the meds and still in an extreme amount of pain...Mon. morning I stayed home from work...I work in a medical facility and there was no way I could function on no sleep, no food since Wed. I called the Riccobene office at McGees...where I am a patient. I was crying when I called and the receptionist said that there was no way she could see me. I begged her and told her it was an emergency and asked why they didnt leave openings for this kind of situation and she got an attitude and said we do and they already had 2 call ins. Now I called the minute that the office opened. I really didnt appreciate the attitude from the receptionist..who I am sure has never had a toothache in her life. Come on now...this is supposed to be a good place to go. I have heard how great Riccobene and his office is...I didnt see it this time. I called Venet Family Dentistry...they took me immediately in front of all other patients...gave me anesthetic to make me comfortable for a little while anyway and took xrays. Diagnosed the problem and had me at an oral surgeon having surgery at 2:00pm. Tell me WHY it took 2 sets of x-rays to find the problem...the dental hygenist read the x-ray and saw the problem immediately. What kind of Dr.'s do you have working for you? There was absolutely NO need for this to happen like this. Unfortunately Dr. Venet is not "in network" on my insurance plan or else I would be there in a flash. They are FABULOUS. Dr. Venet and his staff, including his receptionists, truly care for there patients. That is more than I can say for the staff at Riccobene's office.
I also would like to acknowledge Dr. Cusamano and staff. They were very professional and very nice.
I really appreciate everything that Dr. Venet and Dr. Cusamano have done.
    Thanks

That's a load of bull**** OP (not Hught ~ love you)! I took DH from Apex (vomit) to The Flowers office (Riccobenne had to miss his own DR'S appt for this) because he was in so much pain, Dr Riccobene's staff was VERY friendly and Dr R was super duper nice. He didn't give DH the *mind eraser pills* because I couldn't have gotten him upstairs at our house in Apex. Just yanked the tooth that was giving him problems.ALL of my friends and My family ONLY sees Dr Riccobenne!

2 bad you didn't read the whole thread! :?
AND why in the **** would you have someone 2nd guess what you are feeling? How old are you 12?

Awww, and you have one post!

go easy on the newbie.. does seem like an axe to grind. I wonder if it involved a tango outside the office at Cleveland office:p. Also why didn't you get the x-rays first taken by Riccobenne so you weren't charged twice fo x rays. Its just a one-sided story at this point.

Your story is full of too many inconsistency. YOU thought you had an earache and started antibiotics. I take this to mean that your physician had no diagnosis and you told him what was wrong. What kind of physician did you see that YOU thought you had an earache and then the physician prescribed you antibiotics on your say so. There's too many more inconsistency to list. I think there's a cat fight some where in the history of this post.

(laughin')..... Aw! What women will do when you tick them off....(laughin')

I'll look into it and respond later. Glad you're feeling better. Does not seem like our standard protocol but rest assured I'll get to the bottom of it. Thanks for all of your support 4042.com, y'all are great and it is a pleasure treating you.

    No need...

WOW...I am sorry that you found some inconsistency in the story... and I am sorry that you think that it is bull****! I was treated for an earache for 1 simple reason...The nerve that the tooth was touching is the nerve that runs to your ear, jaw and all of your teeth on 1 side of your mouth. I didnt get the xrays because I went immediately to the other office.
I am so very sorry that you have all of the time in the world to sit here and post comments all day and slander people. I have 1 post because I have a life thank you. You have no idea who I am and no I am NOT 12. I sure hope that if you need immediate medical attention that you receive the care you need and deserve. There was no tango...sorry.

I agree with this, I have gone in for an appointment within hours because of a filling that was not filed correctly I have even been called to have an appointment rescheduled because of an emergency from another patient. Hard to believe they wouldnt reschedule other patients for them..
