He is an accused murderer who fled the country and is fighting extradition, and yet the Marine Corp granted his wife permission to VISIT with him.

i was listening to the news (i think it was abc) and the anchors quoted that it wasnt a matter of choice, but needed to be done. (paraphrasing) that made me raise my eyebrows.

I had that same initial thought, but she is entitled to earned leave and this is a free country. What she does while on her leave should be her business. Dictating where she goes is something the communist would do. I'm sure they have a reason for "allowing" her to go.

Maybe it is just me, but if my husband got another woman pregnant then tried to kill her, I think I would be finding a good divorce attorney, not spending my money on a plane ticket to Mexico to visit him.

He didn't just try, it would seem he succeeded.

Wouldn't that depend on the reason for the "visit"?

He did more than try to kill her...
Maybe his wife will be wearing a wire... maybe she is trying to help the authorities - ? IMO, that would be better than filing for divorce right now.
Does anyone think his wife had anything to do with, or any knowledge of, the murder?

Yes, you're right, he didn't try he succeded (sorry been up since 3:45 this morning so correct grammar isn't exactly easy for me today).

If she is helping the authorities, that is great, but if not......

Yeah, I hope there's more to it than a pleasant little visit. He doesn't deserve prison visits until he is back here and has been tried and convicted. His wife may be one of those hopelessly devoted wives though, let's hope not, but if that's the case I sure hope Mexico doesn't allow conjugal visits!

Unfortunatly they allow conjugal visits on the prisoners birthday, I heard that on the news last night. It's his birthday so I guess that's why she is going to visit. He does not deserve to get laid, he should be castrated IMO.

Maybe she is going to give him his seperation papers, doubt it but she could. Who knows and yeah it is a free country and she earns her 2.5 days a month leave but she would still have to get permission from her CO or higher to leave the country on leave. This was a poor choice made by the USMC to grant her leave to go see him.

Maybe she's going to go Lorena Bobbitt on him.

So you are saying we should be like a communist nation and dictate where people go on vacation. Yeah, yeah, I know she isn't on "vacation."
