Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but here's what i've found: Accuweather. http://www.accuweather.com/us/nc/cl...tner=accuweather&traveler=0&zipChg=1&metric=0 Take a look at Wed night, Nov 26. COLD (28 deg) with RAIN? not so sure that will be rain if things actuallly go the way they are planning. Farmer's Almanac http://www.farmersalmanac.com/weather/USA-Southeastern-weather "[Nov] 28th-30th Southwestern storm brings snow for Tennessee and the mountains of western North Carolina. Rain from Gulf States north and east through the rest of the Carolinas. A messy mix of rain, sleet and snow near the North Carolina, Virginia borders. " Old Farmer's Almanac just calls for showers at that time and cool http://www.almanac.com/weatherforecast/us/4 Gotta wait and see I guess!
That looks like the only site that is saying anything about freezing rain. The other ones I have seen are saying above freezing at night.
Forecasts past 10 days are not very reliable, anyway. The Farmer's Almanac forecasts don't really serve anything more than entertainment value. Your own Accuweather link is now showing a low of 38 on Nov. 26, and no doubt will change several more times before then. We usually do get some ice and freezing rain in the winter, so it's best to be prepared for it, even though we can't predict exactly when it will happen. Just make sure you have de-icer on hand for your steps, and try not to drive in it if you can avoid it. That also goes for snow around here too, even if you're used to it and don't mind driving in it, it's the other drivers you need to worry about.
they're not very accurate past one day. they'll be lucky if they can get today right lol yeah, i think accuweather is pretty mych a joke, but in the past winters i've noticed that if they predict some winter weather sometime in the 15 day forecast, there's a 50% chance something will happen somtime within those 15 days. i'm just obsessed with following these things in winter although i know its pretty much a bunch of guesswork. =)
