Hello my 4042ers... I need some information that you may be able to help me with. I have two junk vehicles that I need to get rid of. One is a 2000 Ford Taurus that runs and drives the other is a 1995 Chevy Van that runs but needs a transmission, so does not drive. I have the titles for both, but they are pretty much only good for scrap metal or parts. How can I get a little money for these cars? Do I sell them for scrap metal at a junk yard? If so, how? Do you know of anyone that buys junk cars that will pick up? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ya'll.
Put them on craigslist or 4042 classifieds. Esp the Taurus, if it runs - someone might buy it. And the other one someone might could use for parts. There are ads in the classifieds sometimes for people who will tow away cars, but they don't pay much, $200-300 per car.
The Taurus runs but it has a cracked cylinder head, and the check engine light won't go off. My DH has been using it to paint out of, so there is loads of paint inside and out. I am not looking but for about 2-300 per car anyway. I am just trying to get a little moolah for my kids Christmas. Thanks for the suggestion though.8)
