Thought I'd post a few of these since I was asked about sightseeing while in NYC. This is a mere fraction of the pics I took... I can bore y'all for a long, long time. Sunrise over Manhattan from my hotel room in NJ on our first morning there -- we arrived around 5:30 a.m. on Monday. Just before boarding the boat for the harbor cruise. Part of the Intrepid Chrysler Building Manhattan Bridge Trump Building Lady Liberty Empire State Building St. Patrick's Cathedral The Naked Clown  The name speaks for itself Our Broadway play Times Square on Tuesday evening Central Park from the Top of the Rock Empire State Building from Top of the Rock Statue of Liberty from Top of the Rock (I love the way the sun's rays were shining right down on Lady Liberty in this pic!) Rockefeller Plaza Our lovely state flag posing for a pic beside the huge Christmas tree being decorated at Rockefeller Plaza Ground Zero More later...
Yes, Ready thanks for the pics. I'd move there if............well no I wouldn't. I haven't heard of a Little JoCo there like Chinatown or Little Italy.:jester:
Thank you very much. I grew up in Jersey just outside NYC. I kind of miss the city from time to time.
Everyone needs to experience that town at least once! Hope everyone had as good a time as it looks like you did.
Thanks, y'all. My camera is just a little Canon Powershot, nothing fancy, but it takes pretty decent pics. Now, can anyone tell me what some of these pics are? Remember now that we rode a bus all night (as in practically ZERO sleep) and were on the boat for our harbor cruise by 10:00 a.m. the next morning. Very fuzzy brained when I took the pics and for the life of me I can't remember what some of places I shot are. :? #1 No idea, just thought it was interesting. I do know it isn't Ellis Island like DH thought it may have been. #2 (I *think* the tour guide may have said the arch was over a doorway to a holocaust museum or memorial - ) # 3 No clue, just liked the way it looked. #4 Trump's newest building - ? - I couldn't tell which building he was talking about when he was talking about the Donald's newest tower. #5 The concrete and tree area -- A 9/11 victims' memorial? I've looked everywhere trying to make sure that's what this is but can't find anything like it. I'm thinking he said the concrete slabs hold the names of all the victims. :?
I was thinking the same thing..great photo's...but you can't get those with out a great camera. Sheri
