Really nice pictures! THanks for sharing! I am not sure but I believe the pic of what you thought was Elis Island but it wasn't is some old rail termial building or headquarters. Its been a lifetime ago...... I forget that, many of you have never seen some of those famous buildings, gone to see a show at Radio City,or a musical in the theatre district, been up in the statue of Liberty, and other stuff. THe city is not all bad. Just depends where you go and who you are with. I lived on Long Island which is not the same as the city. And there is a little Joco up there. It is 175 niles North of New York City and it is called Greene County - I can't think of many town names right now..The farms and the people look the same - but they sounds different from Joco folks and they grow different crops. Folks from upstate NY don't have that "New Yorker" accent. I spent a lot of time up there and that is the area of NY i miss the most. oh Yeah.....and it snows... ALOT!
I'm curious, where's Greene County? I'm from Madison County, which is upstate also, and the towns are tiny, and I mean tiny. The town I'm from would make Clayton look like NYC!
Ready, I am not able to identify most in your second batch, but this might be helpful! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Landmarks_in_New_York_City
