Does anyone know if you take photos to some place like CVS and scan them in and save them on a USB drive? We got a new tv and it has a USB port and I'd like to scan old xmas photos of the kids and have a slide show xmas day when the grandparents come over!
what a fantastic idea chick....I am pretty sure wolf camera at Crabtree can do that, I am not sure about the drug stores.....
I recently created a slide show for my sons graduation by taking bunches of old pictures to Kerr Drug. They put them onto a disk for me so i'm sure they could put on a usb . I am sure that CVS and Walgreens would do the same.
If they can not put it onto the usb for you, have them put it on to a cd then when you get home just put the cd in to your pc and copy them over to your usb yourself. This way you will have the cd as a back up copy
Wolf camera was WAY too expensive. Went to Target, cost 3.99 to scan to CD....I'm so excited - this is gonna be so cool, and they will be so surprised (and impressed...I'm sure, lol)
Hell, how many do you have? If it is a small job I might even be able to do it for you. Someone you know probably has a scanner.
Bandmom-- Just wanted to share with you. My oldest son and wife had almost given up on having children. You know to the point--they bought a new car, boat, jet skis, etc. Then BINGO...she was pregnant. When my little grandson was born, I went down for his birth. While there, I went through their picture books and pics just laying around and scanned them and brought them home. I was there in the room for his birth and took pics. I also took pics of baby every time he yawned or turned over. He was born in August. They came home for Christmas but in the interim they emailed lotsa pics. I made them into a slide show with music in the background!!! What a perfect gift. My big 6'2" son sat with tears running down his cheeks the whole time he watched it. It was pics from the time he and wife started seeing each other up til that Christmas day...
