So my little furball pictured below has a good portion of Miniature Schnauzer in her. I am thinking about getting her clipped, as her fur has a tendancy to look a little grungy on occasion, but she's not dirty. She just looks scruffy, LOL. She is about 8 months old, have I missed the window of opportunity to introduce her to the clippers? Can you recommend someone who will be PATIENT with her? I don't want her traumatized like someone did my Mom's poodle, now she's the only one he will "allow" to cut his hair and that is a huge job. I used to shave my Sheltie in the summer, but haven't got a clue what to do with this dog myself, I don't want her to look stupid when I get done. 8)
I was recently told that Kerri (Pet Perfections) reopened her shop out toward McGees Cross Roads. I just recently tried Doggie Do'z here in Clayton with my poodle. They did a good job on her, but this was the first time I took her there, so do not know how they would be with one not introduced to clippers. Considering having my Cocker Spaniel go to them for her first hair cut, but not sure yet.
Groomer I have to second the Bath and Bark grooming. Jeanne has done my dogs for 2 years now. She is wonderful!
K9 Clips 6376 Nc Highway 210 Smithfield, NC 27577 919-938-2777 She is wonderful with both dogs and cats.
My sis takes her 3 babies to a groomer in Four Oaks. 2 of the dogs adore her (the other one hates going away from home to anyone). She always has positive things to say. I would be glad to find out the name and number.
I third Jean - she's here right now  She's been doing 3 of my mutts (all long haired) for gosh - something like 5 years now.
Thank you to each and every one of you! I know we've had tons of threads on groomers, I just wanted some fresh opinions since this dog has never been professionally groomed. Ya'll are the bestest!
