    "Dude," he's giving people advice and if you dont want to take it just be a good boy and sthu.

    And i'm ashamed this board has become such a monstrosity. Its Christmastime! sthu and let the cops do their job and remember how lucky you are to have the right to complain this much about the govt and not be stoned.
    There are many other places in the world that are having arguments that revolve around something much more dreadful than a simple check point.
    Just saying... somthing to think about. be grateful
    Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

    How did you come to this conclusion?

    I always thought law enforcement were discouraged from posting on public forums online. Just ask those Durham cops.

    Heck everyone on here pretends to be something their not to a certain extent on here. If he's real or not who cares? I'm sleeping tonight regardless.

    After last night, I'm really, really hoping Jessica holds out on Romo for like.........oh.....a year. Those two runs for touchdowns were inexcusable as well.

    Those who question the loss of rights in the name of security are just trying to make sure things stay this way. Of course the incrimental loss of rights might not significantly impact this generation, but the next one or the one after that might not be so free.

    Could this why we don't see much of Kent anymore?

    Huh? I thought Kent was just the most kind person ever. Did something go over my head again?

    You are so correct. I truly believe in this poem:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came...

    When the Nazis came for the communists,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a communist.

    When they locked up the social democrats,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.

    When they came for the trade unionists,
    I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.

    When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a Jew.

    When they came for me,
    there was no one left to speak out.

    Never forget!

    Those stats are from 2006. They have gone up quite a bit since then because the court procedures have changed dramatically from that time. I WISH the new stats were available but they aren't yet. However, I think we'll see that number go up quite a bit based on what I've seen in court the last few months.

    Maybe so. Takes me a while to trust people.

    Thanks,

    P.S. Plus your response to my Post earlier was as unwelcome as a newbie could be.

    Because he's getting such a big warm welcome from everyone else, especially you! Gosh forbid he's on the defensive a bit. I don't see why a law enforcement officer can't post on a board like anyone else. Just because he has some knowledge and is clearly intelligent doesn't mean we should run him off out of fear! I mean where are this guy's rights if he can't even post on his local message board because of his profession? If there were rules about it within his department he wouldn't be doing it. It certainly wouldn't be worth getting in trouble over. Are there rules on this board? I haven't seen anything he has posted so far that seems remotely questionable. And I'm not even talking from a bias right now because he is leo. This is just the typical rake the newbie over the coals bit that happens most of the time around here.

    This truly makes me laugh. He looks like a cowboy because he comes on here sounding intelligent and reporting what he knows from experience and training? I know it must be scary for some folks to have an intelligent newbie come along who might actually know something and not just be pulling out their google knowledge. He has every right to be here as everyone else. If people have a problem or negative feelings toward law enforcement that is their own problem. They don't have to start acting like they are in charge of the message board and the big man on campus. I mean who is acting like the cowboy now?

    Because he as much as called me liar on being pulled over and the number of State Troopers I saw o 70 the other day it very much rubbed me wrong. If you look at my past Posts I have very seldom made a newbie feel uncomfortable but do you really think that what he responded to me should not get a similar response?

    I realize that you are talking about this because he is a LEO but I don't see you making any source of response to him as you have me. Yes, I 've been around a while but his remarks on the two above it was uncalled for and challenged my character. Something that is not welcome on my part.

    As always, thanks,
    Sherry
