Sherry I can understand to a certain extent that you might have felt like he was calling you a liar. I just saw it as him pointing out the number of unmarked cars there are in JoCo and he got on the defensive because he probably interpreted your remarks as possibly bashing his fellow officer's actions. I mean after reading from the start of this thread he probably was already on the defensive about some things. But maybe he can find out exactly what was going on in that situation and the number of cars etc. and will be able to apologize if need be. And I'm talking about this because I haven't seen anything to warrant him being asked to leave the board which some people (not you) are calling for. Hopefully he will see that intentionally or not he offended you and can apologize so that you don't hold any personal grudge against him. Because I think everyone knows that if we all took things too personal that we probably wouldn't be able to be part of this board. And I have seen people say worse things to you and get away with it which is why I'm surprised you reacted the way you did.

Thank you for understanding an explaining your viewpoint. Yes, others have said worse but most have been around a while and I understand some things.

I would never ask anyone to leave our Forum as I know it is public (except one), everyone has Freedom of Speech and I do enjoy learning different view ponts on how others think and believe. I just despise someone contesting my honesty.

    Thanks,
    Sherry

I do understand yours as well. And I hope JoCo stays around so we can understand him a little better too. :grouphug:

It looks as though I probably saw “Operation Drive to Live” in action when I came back and made my Post regarding the Troopers as I wanted to let the 4042ers know about their presence so as not to get a ticket. Troopers cross county lines and because of this operation it looks as though the State Police thought it was just fine to do such. Please see just a couple of sites explaining what happened in our County that week. No exaggeration on my part and my observation skills are working just fine.

Love it when facts appear after someone actually makes statements implying another person is not making correct statements.

    Sincerely,
    Sherry

Law enforcement in Johnston County is hoping a new strategy may help slow down the deadly trend of teen car accidents. Highway Patrol troopers are cracking down on unsafe teen driving in Johnston County this week as part of Operation Drive to Live. It's an effort to reduce the number of teenage-related traffic accidents.

"Operation Drive to Live" begins at 6 a.m. every day this week. It will end at 5 p.m. Friday.

Wow. The posting of a news article which does nothing to explain the details of how things work. Excellent. :) lol

You were on the ignore list at "Dude". ;)

So with that, the thread has gotten wayyyy off topic, and the horse is dead. Next.

You're in a discussion with a woman who outside of our Lord and Savior JC [IMG], has never, ever been wrong.

Nope. He's in a conversation with a woman who thinks that someone saying she exaggerates has no observation skills and with whom he generally berates, for no reason, is still giving this person the benefit of the doubt that he is just doing this because he has not thought his response through. Even when facts show (I did not need to use facts as I saw it and don’t lie) the Post and Thread correct he cannot stop himself in making false statements. When one does not understand and concede that another person is stating fact and trying to alert others to potential speeding tickets or whatever then it really comes down to me conversing with someone who has shown that while wearing the uniform he might not use facts while servicing the people who trust those in uniform. Pretty scary thought.

And believe me or not...I have been wrong quite often in my life but when I realize it I do admit it or I hope I do. I enjoy a good debate, discussion and laugh but I don't enjoy being belittled nor do I belittle others, unless I have known them in person or on line for a while and I usually do it in jest or privately.

    Pick and choose your battles,
    Sherry

:iagree: At this point, P, I do not trust him in uniform. Time will tell but his responses to me have me wondering about him and I don't think his boss would think it is funny or cute either. I am not threatening with the boss statement but we put our trust in these people and if he or anyone has the authority that police officers do it makes for a scary thought on his decision making while in uniform.

    Have a wonderful holiday season,

Thanks. I have been very uptight recently, as can be seen on our Forum, and I hope to shake it off soon. I, too, love to laugh as you know but sometimes one needs to take a look at the pattern of statements from one Poster to another and realize that laughter is not appropriate at the time.

You and I laugh at each other all the time but this guy should get a grip more than me.

Hey, even I have bad days, weeks, months and years...venting on here spares my family and neighbors..........:jester::jester:

    Have a wonderful day,
    Sherry
