Trying to figure out what to buy a 13 year old family member. His parents said he likes hunting. I am thinking of getting him a subscription to a hunting magazine and am looking for suggestions for a magazine a boy this age might like.
Cabelas! Once he has a job, he can spend all his money there. We don't get any hunting magazines, I'm sure there are plenty of them though.
Are they here in NC? My of my hunters like NC Sportsman Magazine. http://www.northcarolinasportsman.com/
My son used to hunt at that age. My son would only read hunting magazines when he was at the hunting lodge. First, I would ask the parents if they know of anything he needs or wants for hunting. You might take a stroll through Dick's Sporting Goods and see what kinda gadgets they have for hunters. One year as a small gift I had a set of dog tags made for him at GI Joe's in Clayton. ps to this post - my daughter was jealous of the dog tags so I ended up getting her dog tags one year for her birthday.
Outdoor Life and Field and Stream are good magazines. I would suggest to get him something local try North Carolina Sportsman or NC Game and Fish both are good magazines. If he likes Duck hunting you can donate $25 to Ducks Unlimted and get a free gift along with a magazine subscription, right now they are offering a free fleece jacket. Delta Waterfowl has a youth membership for $15 and they get a cap with this membership. One last suggestion is to get try North Carolina Wildlife magazine a good present would be to get a lifetime membership, but it is a little pricey for lifetime.
Get him a membership with the NRA http://membership.nrahq.org/ Check into it, a membership would make a good gift for a person , They have a lot of member benefits
I vote Democrat sometimes, and I've been a member since like 1992-93 ish (cant remember this second). The NRA's political affiliation has little to do with which side of the isle you sit, but how you vote on gun owners right.
