I can't even read that or look at the links.

I was going through my Christmas rubbermaid container and found our stocking.

One for me, one for DH, one for SHELBY and a little one for Mattie. I HAD to crack open a beer in an effort NOT TO just loose it! Well, I lost it. This is the first Christmas without my baby Shelby, it's VERY hard and extremely depressing. I know when I see mom tomorrow I'll just ball my eveballs out because she ALWAYS got Shelby treats and had a stocking for her.

****! I can't even keep it together anymore...

harley girl i know what you are going through, i lost my cat in june, he was 15 yrs, he had cancer and lost a leg and then got heart disease. he was my world. this is my first xmas without him. i have the rainbow bridge dedicated to him on myspace. you can write a tribute to your pet at petloss.com, my 3 deceased kitties are on there.(penguin king, thomas p king, turrrkey king) i got a siamese kitten now and while he isnt pengie it helps a little.

Your story is just beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing it.

OK (balling my eye balls out) Shelby was diagnosed over 2 years ago with cancer, we treated her at home beause she was 15 at the time and the vet said ...b lah blah blah...dont to chemo because of her age, I agreed!

SO I started her on some vitamins. 2+ years later she didn't die from old age NOR cancer NOR her heart problem ...

She just died of old age. Her stocking is hung this year between me & my DH's. I've lost people in my life but this by far is the pinacle of heart break. I can't even begin to tell anyone how it feels to loose the *person* you knew and hung out with BEORE my DH. It may may not make sense to some people .... but you all know where i'm coming from.

I'm glad her stocking was hung by the chimney with care. She will ALWAYS be a part of your family. *hug*
