Clayton, N.C. — Deputies were on the scene of a shooting at 2760 Castleberry Road late Sunday.

Dispatchers said the call came in around 9:30 p.m. for the shooting off of Highway 42 East.

The shooting appeared to be a domestic dispute, Johnston County Sheriff Steve Bizzell said. An old boyfriend showed up at the home and several shots were fired.

One man died and another was transported to WakeMed Hospital, Bizzell said.
