Anyone know to get up with Riccobene?

Girl, I am with you on being afraid when going to the dentist. They make sure to make my appointment either as the very first in the morning or the very last of the day. I cannot take any drilling sounds or I flip out. They actually come to my car and help me into the office as I have such fear. I guess something happened with a dentist when I was young and I just cannot get over it.

I prefer gas when they work on me because I want to be able to drive to and from. Prescribing pills for me to take before I arrive means I need another person to help get me to and from, I hate to ask people to help like that.

Anyhow, know you are not alone and that those dentists and staffs who help people like us deserve a huge medal.

Ok, I looked into it. For the record, I'll be the first to admit I am wrong, if I am, as I am only human and can make mistakes. If we do make a mistake, I'll make it right by apologizing and doing whatever is necessary to rectify the situation. As far as this patient is concerned, he/she was treated like all of you who praise us are accustomed to. A diagnosis was rendered, a plan was offered, and follow up recommended. I checked the schedules of 4042 and McGees and we had openings for patients to be seen on that Monday. Nonetheless, his/her experience was less than expected, so for that I sincerely apologize. My offices have been notified and hopefully this will make us stronger long term. I can't give you specifics about his/her case as I do not want in any way violate his/her privacy.

A couple of notes about our office and policies. First of all, we are all about the patient. I fire employees if I believe they have an untrainable quality that is in contrast to my philosophy. There are many of my fired ex-employees that work at "other" local offices. So the truth is that I've had employees that do things that I believe is wrong, but this is never ignored. They are either re-trained or relieved of their duties. I am not one to be complacent about my employees attitudes or work ethic. I've said before on this board that I'd rather go back to one office than risk being another run of the mill non-customer service oriented establishment.

If you read the complaint, you'll notice that this person was seen on a Saturday. Yes, while most offices are only open four days a week, you can get an appointment at my office six days a week including saturday's. You'll also notice that it is stated that we are in network with his/her insurance. These policies were all established to better help service the public. Income wise, Saturdays (overtime pay and no-shows considered) and Insurance write offs (due to in networks status) end up costing us more money than they make. I am willing to incur those costs for the sake of my patients.

I hope no one sees this as bragging, just want y'all to know that I take complaints seriously and have not forgotten who made us what we are today- OUR PATIENTS.

    Happy New Year to all.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Riccobene, DDS

I have often wondered how you could run as many offices as you do and have the level of customer satisfaction that you obviously have. I believe this is the answer, right here.

I just want to say thank you for the toothbrush I was able to purchase in your office 2 days before Christmas. I'm not a patient but the office staff couldn't have been nicer and i really appreciate the money I saved.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: You ain't right!!!

I have to add that Dr. Riccobene's office was A GOD SEND for me. Some crack dentist in Raleigh severely messed up one of my molars when they put a crown on it. I was in horrible pain and even went back to that dentist only to be told "give it time it will get better." I was taking motrin like I had an addiction problem... probably so much it was dangerous. I called Dr. Ric's office and they got me in the same day. My insurance was out of network for them but they worked with me...had a root canal, they FIXED the crown and I could actually stand waking up the next day. I love this office!!! So much I switched my insurance so my whole family could go there. LOVE THEM!!

Never met Dr R, but my family are patients at McGee's. Hard to believe anyone had a less than fantastic experience with them. In fact my daughter was there today, and everyone was wonderful as usual.
First went there on a reccommendation from the 4042 folks. Glad I did!

i woulld not go anywhere else BUT to Dr Riccobenne.

Not only is he a great guy but the office staff is wonderful. They are patient and very helpful. Dr. R. answers all my stupid questions and such.

i recently - just before Christmas had a TON of work done. he did it all in one day - I was sedated.

    - we will not dicuss what I said and did under sedation... but I had to apologize for a few things.....( and if anyone had a video - I and they would be ten grand richer)...

Anyway - With all the work I had done, in all four quadrants of my mouth... I had no pain. Just a little discomfort when my one temp cap fell off. - they made me another and this one is great...

I don't have to chew on one side anymore or let cold things get warm and hot things get cold. Nothing gets stuck in my teeth either. - that was embassassing. I could n't be happier with the way everything went.

GEt the work you need done and if you are really nervous get the sedation- trust me... you will not remember a blessed thing from 20 minutes after you take that pill until about 12 hours later.
